Jack Russell's are terriers. I had one who loved to play soccer. He chased until he dropped and if you chipped him he'd growl at you like you cheated.
I have one now. She’s a beast dribbling with her nose. if you try to take the ball from her or if you have the ball, you can rest assured she’s either growling or trying to bite your ankles while endlessly chasing. She’s a great practice tool for my 6 year old!
Schalke's attacking core is pretty weak. Last year they were saved many times by the big defender (who is injured I think?). Not a successful plan to count on.
Best to have at least three players so someone is open. One touch is the key to fast chasing canines as they cover ground very quickly. Might be great practice for kids as dogs press faster than the best teams with humans.
Oh we do! We have three. The Mrs and I play quick one touches but......the dog has quickly learned to mark the kid and wins the ball!
He was fantastic last year both defensively and offensively. He even scored off a fee kick. Again I don't think it's a recipe for staying in second place to count on a repeat and they should have acquired a big time forward.
If you are interested in Spuds then you should be worried. Here are the positions he has been auditioned at: RB, RWB, DM, CM, ACM, False 9. Here is the position he played today: sitting.
No need for ankle biting. Used quickness and positioning to steal the ball and then clown circle dribble you with his nose. I haven't even mentioned how he could rise up and somehow chest the ball down. A natural.
And all I got was a German shepherd who'd sit watching TV and growl if you tried to change channels.... This was Augsburg's first point in several games. This is the worst Schalke I've seen in ages too, worse than the Rutten fiasco. They're lucky the BuLi this season has more garbage teams than the EPL, because Nürnberg, Düsseldorf, Hannover and Augsburg are all second division quality.
Remember the BL ends with a bang for winter. They have a game on Wednesday and Friday. If the coach has thought ahead about how he plans to play the games, then who starts and who rests is more complicated than the best possible XI.
I'm just saying, Tedesco is trying to get him on the pitch and spuds is trying something else. I thought when he was on the pitch with Goretzka, he could learn. Goretzka receives ball and instantly there was an attacking pass leaving his feet. Something creative or attacking was being instigated. With Spuds on the pitch the difference was instantly noticeable. He needs to capture or recapture that attacking momentum.
Please stop calling dude Spud, it is not ever going to stick and it appears to be trying too hard. I don't think it is a term of endearment and seems a bit derogatory IMO. Last year Weston was plenty quick on the ball. He misses Goretzka and he misses the organization they played with last year when they had better midfielders and a healthier by far line-up. Whoda' thunk they would miss Leon? I don't think that is something we can blame wholly on him at this stage in his career.
Plus, there's a guy named Mckenzie Gaines, if we're gonna call someone Spuds it should be him. Or Spurs fans.
