https://www.nytimes.com/2019/03/18/business/trump-deutsche-bank.html Deutsche did a few naughty things to lure and keep Trump as a costumer.
From the article: "Aside from his history of defaults, he was an attractive borrower." Reminds me of: "Other then that Mrs. Lincoln, how did you like the play?"
It's synonymous with "Aside from his narcissistic indifference and multiple affairs, he is a model husband and father."
It means there is a world of privilege whose rules you and I can't even imagine. The Eddy Murphy Saturday Night Live skit "White like Me" or the Mark Twain short story "The £1,000,000 Bank-Note" turned out to be documentaries instead of comedies.
Constantly amazed at the people who bought his bullshit. Even a large German bank was hypnotized by this assmunch.
No, they are big enough that that wouldn't be a concern. And the article makes it clear that Deutsche Bank was very pro-Trump since its first dealings in America in the late 1990's when Trump was a just a failed casino magnate and not a Russian money launderer. They needed a big name to drum up business, they needed someone not being served by the rest of the crowded market, and Trump was perfect. And as he pissed off one segment of the bank, there was another newly formed division ready to take over for just those same reasons. It's not a long article. You should read it.
The privilege of privilege. On a related note, it is possible to be either a) thoughtful or b) as a real-estate developer? I have met a few in my life, none big-time, all ranging from small-time to moderate (which is still enough to make plenty of money), and every one of them was a trophy-wife collecting douchebag. Or in the case of the small fry, wanting to have a trophy wife but settling for handjobs at the massage parlors.
If you look at the picture of the crowd at the Trump mini-inauguration, most of the ladies are wearing hijab. Does this mean that according to Jeanine Pirro, his swearing in was unconstitutional?
Yeah, we also ended formal apartheid ahead of South Africa... 1108043335640453120 is not a valid tweet id PS: And she was fact checked... 1108073631257640961 is not a valid tweet id
"America came along as the first country to end it within 150 years. " What does that even mean? I can think of several things she's trying to communicate here and none of them are even in the same time zone as historically correct.
Why is she talking history which she knows nothing about. I don't talk about cricket and Arabic poetry among many other things. I thought it was an accepted practice not to talk about things you know nothing about.
Solyndra, Because of course... Fox's "news side" is doing Solyndra anniversary coverage because of course it is. pic.twitter.com/U2bXtrgdjt— Matthew Gertz (@MattGertz) March 20, 2019
Doesn't matter. She's on Fox News. Her viewers don't care. Doesn't matter. She's on Fox News. Her viewers don't care. Doesn't matter. She's on It's Fox News. Her Their viewers don't care.
Most of the time, crazy-sounding soundbites from Fox/the right are indeed crazy. It is not a matter of bad wording covering up good ideas, or indeed of any ideas at all. They're just making shit up.
It truly is amazing. Whatever else you can say about him, he's a helluva grifter. I mean, he's able to continue lining up new marks, even though the fleecing of his last set of marks has gotten splashed all over the papers.
I have long wondered who would line up on the other side of a deal with Donald Trump, and why. He has long made it clear that he thinks that deals are zero-sum games, that he wins if the other side loses, and that he will lie, cheat, and/or use the court system so that he can win. Why on earth do business with that guy?
