Fox News host Laura Ingraham on Friday echoed a familiar right-wing talking point about the Parkland school shooting survivors, criticizing them for talking—presumably disrespectfully—“to and about adults.” Ingraham was reacting to a Thursday tweet by Marjory Stoneman Douglass High School junior Sarah Chadwick suggesting, “WE should change the names of AR-15 to ‘Marco Rubio’ because they are so easy to buy.”

One thing that comes out of this sort of thing is the enormous stoicism, good sense and goodwill of the American people, including the young.
