2018 is the most important midterms in American history.

Really? More important then those in, say, 1858? Or 1866? Or maybe 179x?

Today is always more important than yesterday.

The 2022 midterms will be "the most important ever" regardless of who is in power.

Is how it works in many peoples minds.

I understand your cynicism. But these midterms will determine whether or not the House of Representatives will continue up to be co-conspirators with Trump. It might also determine whether GOP Senators see their future better served by embracing Trumpism or rejecting it.

In short, it will determine how hard the fight to retain our democracy will be in the era 2020 through about 2024.

I know Trump cut the top marginal tax rates so libertarians are happy.

Yeah well, since I have been around since Jesus was born and never got worked up about a midterm election before, I am allowed to make the claim. This is the most important midterm election.

I might be wrong, of course, but at least it is the first time I claim to have seen the wolf.

Please stop Jitty-fying yourself. You're better than that.

It would shock you to know (because you're an asshole) that libertarians would have rather we ********ing cut spending. Not all of us, but quite a few, and many rather publicly have stated, basically, "******** you; cut spending". I have no polls of libertarians at the ready, but I'd say that outside of the ZeroHedge crowd (and even some of THEM) 2/3 of libertarians are either unimpressed or opposed.

If there is a mid term!

It could go away with the FBI and anything else that the emperor doesn't like.

Yup. Sean Hannity Found A Way To Blame Obama For The Stock Market Drop

On his Fox News radio show on Monday, Hannity said the market drop ― which at its worst saw the Dow industrials plunge by nearly 1,600 points and closing down 1,175 points for the day ― wasn’t the fault of President Donald Trump.

It’s his predecessor that’s to blame.

“Because the Obama economy was so weak all of these years, we had just artificially cheap money,” Hannity said, referring to a Fox News analysis he had seen on the cable network.

He explained that “cheap money” is from borrowing at “ridiculously low rates,” which he added must now end.

“The government has artificially, the Fed has artificially, kept the price of money down and the price of borrowing down, and now that’s going to come to an end.”

Then, he declared that the plunge ― which saw stocks erase all their 2018 gains ― is actually good.

Laura Ingraham called out LeBron James because athletes shouldn't use their public forums to criticize the President. Apparently, the rules for athletes are different than those for reality TV hucksters.

Does she really think her viewers can't connect those two dots? Never mind, do not answer that.

I recall an ex-NFL player making the rounds on Fox when black athletes were kneeling.

Should FoxNews be telling him to shut his piehole?

I think that you're missing a adjective in front of the word "athletes," an adjective which describes color.

Makes one wonder how this guy still has a job with Fox.

‘Opposite of a hoax’: Fox’s Shep Smith calls out the GOP’s anti-Mueller witch hunt after today’s indictments

Fox News host Shep Smith on Friday had strong words for detractors who insisted prior to special counsel Robert Mueller’s bombshell indictments of Russian nations for meddling in the U.S. election that his probe was an anti-Trump witch hunt.

    He gives the cover.

I've always liked Shep. He's the only thing that gives Fox an air of credibilty. I'm bummed that it sucked me into the early O'Reilly days in the late 90's. <shudders>

Yeah, O'Reilly was a bombastic ass. Hannity is a poor but mouthy fool following up preaching to his choir.
