I realized only now that they have, in their attack choices, also Shun Nagasawa, along Dutra, Hara (on loan from Urawa), Kubo and Miyayoshi. It's too much to not win J2.

And the former captain of JNT in 2002 WC, Ryuzo Morioka, is an assistant manager there. Uao!

Masaya Okugawa, who shone at the U19 AFF tournament that Japan won in Vitnam (3 goals and 2 assists in 3 matches), was promoted to Sanga's top team, alongside with other two midfielders: Yushi Nagashima and Yuki Onishi.

Because Masahiro Wada, elected best coach in Thailand this season, is talking the helm.

I know they like Wada down there, but I still have reluctance towards changing a whole coaching staff if you have ambitions to get promoted next season.

If Wada wants to bring his whole staff, it makes sense.

True but no continuity is also dangerous. Sounds like the club are looking a little longer than one year ahead. Thats fine, but I am one of those ignorant heads thats more interested in the club playing J1 from the season 2016 than any long term plan.

If the old staff couldn't bring them up in like 3 tries already, why would they do it now ? I think they can pull it off next year.

It seems that Kyoto Sanga finally found the right man to guide them back to the J1: Ichizo Nakata.

Apologies if there is some sort of stadium thread elsewhere for J-League clubs in which this has already been discussed - but are there any thoughts on the recently-completed Sanga Stadium by KYOCERA?

Also, apologies again if this is old news, but I find it interesting that the club's 2021 jerseys use the Japanese versions of Kyocera's and Nintendo's names, rather than the Latin script both companies tend to go by nowadays.

Speaking of Nintendo, were they to make another Mario Strikers game at some point, I wonder if they'd consider using the company's new home stadium in such a game. (I'm sure that Wario at least would approve of that combination of purple and yellow seat colouring...)

Hi. We plan to go to the 9/23/2023 Kyoto Sanga vs. Sanfrecce match in Kyoto. We are looking for anyone else who might be going as well. We'd love to meet up. Thanks.
