BTW, I just read the FIFA CWC thread in this forum. The comments mostly angry about this Kashima-Atletico Nacional result
lol, no wonder. Not everyone had put his money like basse did so they have a good reason here. Not to mention SA football fans being angry after Endo scored with a heel like on a training game against the best team in both Americas
And that was the third high level match for Kashima in a week so it wasn't much of a factor in the end .
Kashima Antlers is looking for a Korean keeper, but Sogahata has been great at this CWC. Most likely we will have an article on fifa.com about his great performance despite we know he's not the best keeper in Japan. The same happened with Li Shuai last season. He was not even the regular keeper of Taobao at the moment, but started in the CWC.

I don't know you, but I have the feeling that Yuma Suzuki will mark his footprints on the history of Japanese football. Great drive from him. Congrats to Ishii and Kashima: they were lucky, but efficient.
He also dabbed I just realized. Gross. He'd be marking history with flip flop prints. It cannot happen.
Best <<asian football vs rest of the world>> related thing since Japan 1 Messi 0 in Zac Times. I know few things about Kashima (that Sogahata is the same gk that played the friendly draw between Trap Italy and Troussier Japan in 2001? I thought so) but I'm so happy about this win. Now I wanna a final vs America cuz I think Real would win vs an exausted Kashima + golden CR7 factor and I prefer an open final match than a predictable one.
As expected: Kashima Antlers vs Real Madrid. The Good thing about this match is that Kashima has nothing to loss in it and pressure will be off their shoulders. Good Luck Kashima.
It's a shame the CWC won't be coming back to Japan any time soon. Maybe JLeague clubs could actually try at their CL fixtures in the future and we'd see more of this.
