Kataller Toyama are supported by two big companies in Toyama Prefecure, Hokuriku Electric Power Company and YKK. I don't see any problems with them in terms of financial situation.

    So, it is official:

    - Okayama, Toyama and Tochigi in J2.

    - Machida, Nagasaki and Honda Lock to JFL.

    - No relegations this season.

    - J2 has now 18 teams (and 51 games!!!)

So, it looks as the "zannen" prize for this season go to Tottori and Yamaguchi.

Who has associate member in JFL? As far as I know it's only Tottori and Kitakyushu, right? Is Nagasaki applying?

Last time I heard, Ryukyu and Nagasaki are applying, I do not know when tough. Ryukyu was declined last time around.....

We need four more clubs to complete the J2 to 22 clubs.

Now, this is pending approval, however, I believe, J. League pro/rele series will not be played and 3rd place in J2 will receive promotion by default.

Congratulations to Tochigi, Toyama and Okayama!

Hopefully Tottori will come back just as strong next season and we'll have 19 in J2 for 2010; Kitakyushu will have to do quite a bit of improving if they want to join them and make it 20.

Will be interesting to see Honda take on Honda in the Honda derby next season,

I'll bet one Ohmori Ramen (any style) and a nama-beer (any brand) on Nagasaki in J2 in 2010.

    Who takes it?

    (limited time offer only)

51 games? I thought slavery was abolished by the civilized world

Machida intends to apply for associate membership since with gongs they are announcing they intend to make it by 2011. Whether they should go all the way to J1 is beyond me, but every league needs a Leyton Orient I guess.

The crowds for the four 2005 and 2006 JFL matches between Lock and Honda FC were in fact as follows:

    27 Mar 05: Honda FC 3-1 Lock (1233)

    03 Jul 05: Lock 1-2 Honda FC (2011)

    26 Mar 06: Lock 4-6 Honda FC (1326)

    03 Dec 06: Honda FC 2-1 Lock (1233)

All salarymen working at Honda who would have been fired for not attending. Many got too drunk and vomited on the way home, either on the train or inside their Civic.

Wait... are you betting they will or will not make it?
If you're betting they won't make it, I'm in... otherwise I think we'd be on the same side.
However, I will bet that they won't make it to J1 before Avispa (again)... not because I believe it though.

I surfed around at RSN and checked the regional leagues and i noticed some teams got similar logos to famous clubs, like:

    Fukushima Primeiro FC

    and Gremio

This one is more poor creativity and design than anything else. As is Primeiro, which I'm not too fond of.

Anybody knows how Shiko Club (Kyoto) did this past season?

The Youth teams (elementary) are dominating in town, but the senior team, as far as I know, was lagging midchart in Kansai 2.

    Wow, impressive.
Do you have Kansai 1, by any chance?

    Thanks!

I am so overwhelmed that I'll attempt one question: do you know how many teams go up and down every season? How many promoted, how many relegated?

    THANKS!!

Every season depends on whether or not anyone gets promoted out of the top of Division 1 into the JFL, but as Banditonce failed yet again it's pretty straightforward this year: the bottom two in Division 1 go down, the top two in Division 2 go up. Seventh place in Division 2 has a separate mini-play-off, with the runner-up of the local prefectural play-off tournament. Bottom team in Division 2 is relegated to the appropriate Prefectural League and obviously is replaced by the winner of said play-off.

The decider of this play-off is due to be staged on 18 January and by coincidence is between two teams from Nara, namely Nara Club and JST.
