I really like "Ciao Sono Il" by Sandro Bit. Sad to admit, it'd the only Italian music I know outside of Pavarotti etc.
actually i found most on myspace believe or not. I just searched the genre and country and had thousands of results. mtv.it is pretty good also even though they have many american artists.

Anyone know that song they play during the many Napoli commercials on RAI International? I also heard this song on the radio this weekend. It's acoustic traditional dance type music, if that makes any sense. It might be old.
So it's a dance song? I thought i knew what you were talking about but it's not a dance song. What are some words/phrases in the song? Then i'll let my parents know who basically watch that channel 18 hours a day.
I don't mean dance as in techno, just has a beat and is probably pretty old. There's a female singer and it has acoustic drums.. I can't understand what the words are. LOL I know alot of homes where that channel is on all the time it seems.

On RAI International, they show a commercial for a Gigi D'Alessio concert in the US. Does anyone know what the song they play of his is? I got a bunch of songs of his but have not hit the jackpot.
Is this the same Gigi that sang a neopolitan song with a group of kids on San remo? If so i love his songs and hopefully he would come out with a cd.
And Povia has won the 56th edition of Sanremo with his song "Vorrei Avere il Becco". It had sort of the same sound of the song he sang last year, "Quando i Bambini fanno oh..." Good choice for a winner. He beat out I Nomadi, Anna Tatangelo, and a young guy who's name escapes me.
