Jakub Yunis will play for the Iraqi national team soon. He is a 21 year old striker playing for Sigma Olomouc, playing at the highest tier of Czech football. He played for all Czech youth teams. Great move
Ali Adnan scores his first Serie A goal this season against Sampdoria. Came off a deflection, but it still gets credited to him. Oddo has changed everything for him at Udinese. Frans Putros also scored a fantastic freekick for his first goal in the Danish league this season since joining Hobro. Good day for Iraqi players.
Other sites gave it to him. It should be for him since it was on target before the deflection. No way it's an own goal.
I saw those; I'm saying it should have been credited to him. I know officially they didn't give it to him.
Osama Rashid's Santa Clara have won promotion today to the top division in Portugal. He'll be the first Iraqi to play in the Portuguese Primeira Liga. In turkey, Rizespor won the second division title and will be back in the Super Lig next season. Dhurgham missed the entire season due to ACL injuries.
One part of it is that Iraqi coaches are morons, and the other part is that he's had injury issues this season. He's the best Iraqi midfielder this season, but even when he was in form and healthy, he was never being considered for the national team. It's a joke that Basim Qasim brought Yaser back, but won't even look at Osama.
Yaser is only 1 midfield spot, it's all the other mud midfielders that get picked ahead of Osama. Yaser even when not in form is still better than the other options that get picked.
Well deserved for Osama, hes had a great season despite that injury that kept him out for a while, scored a nice freekick 2 games ago. I hope hes given a chance soon.
Yaser Kasim is now looking for a move to one of the gulf leagues. The guy is finished, might as well cash in.
Reports that Turkish clubs Fenerbahce and Besiktas and some German clubs are interested in Mohannad Ali. http://www.cumhuriyet.com.tr/haber/futbol/1013514/Irakli_yildiz_adayina_dev_takip_.html He will most likely move to Turkey.
Ali Adnan moved to Atalanta on loan for 1 season and they are still in the race to make the Europe League
Atalanta out of Europa League. Ali Adnan scored a nice penalty against Copenhagen in the penalty shoot out though. Hopefully they do something in Serie A to make up for this failure. It looks like Gasperini is slowly easing Ali into his team and he's doing well in the chances he's getting. Atalanta is a very good team. This could be the club Ali Adnan needs to make the jump up to a top team.
Atalanta look very strong... I'm sure they will do well in Serie A this season ... FC København (Den) v Atalanta (Ita), 0-0 AET, (agg: 0-0, FCK win 4-3 on penalties) penalty shoot-out : 0–1 Marten De Roon 1-1 Pieros Sotiriou 1–2 Ali Adnan 2-2 Ján Gregus Alejandro Gomez, Atalanta miss penalty 3-2 Robert Skov 3–3 Andrea Masiello Dame N'Doye, FCK miss penalty Andreas Cornelius, Atalanta miss penalty 4–3 Denis Vavro Attendance: 18,378 10 minutes extensive highlights :
Great penalty taken by Adnan.. heartbreaking loss.. It would be huge if he played in the Europa League. Well hopefully they do something in the Serie A
Justin Meram back in shape with Columbus Crew. His time in Orlando really shows how important the mental aspect of the game is for a player.
Playing Europa Cup is not as easy as people may think ... and who win or lose mainly comes down to past experience ... FC København have managed to qualify for either the Europa League or Champion League group stage 12 times in the past 13 years, so they have loads of experience playing this kind of tight games in Europe against all kinds of different teams from different levels and different styles of play. Atalanta know their opponents and their style of play In Serie A, so they know exactly what they are up against and it's not a two-legged knockout cup competitions like in the Europa League play-off's, so it's a totally different kind of competition... They look strong and now they only need to focus on Serie A and do not need to worry about resting players to do well in two tournaments at the same time, so they will do well in Serie A I'm sure...
Iraqi Pro Players reports that Yaser Kasim is most likely going to sign for Erbil. It should be a no brainer for him. Even though I think he shouldn't be in the NT ahead of Osama, he needs to regain his form and play matches.
