He should honestly take the rest of the season off. A couple months isn't worth putting your entire career at risk. Especially now that we have 3 other capable full backs.
While Peres has struggled to look like the world beater we had hoped he would be your criticism of him is a bit much. I like to give guys 2 seasons before flushing. Especially coming into an environment like Roma. Point is while he has been far from great he also hasn't been near as bad as your constant criticism has warranted.
I never wanted him because he is exactly what I said he is. Its not just me, the papers have been critical of him and he's consistently on of the lowest rated players each game. His play has ranged for average to bad and pretending it hasn't isn't going to change things. For the record I hope to be wrong about him because it would be beneficial to Roma.
I'm not pretending that he has been anything but highly mediocre. Just seems I remember allot of heavy criticism of Balza not too long ago as well and now people get all misty eyed and nostalgic over him. If we get to the winter break next season and he hasn't improved trust me, I'll be right there with you.
I guess my real issue with Peres is his lack of effort. I can accept not playing well, I can't accept not giving effort.
Peres is exceptional physically but struggles with tactics. His smoothness with the ball and his sharp turns opens up a lot of space when he uses it correctly. He is tactically clueless right now but unless he gives up completely I think he will be a hit.
http://www.tuttosport.com/news/calc...e_a_roma_infortunio_florenzi_nessun_allarme_/ Should not be too worried.
Its confirmed, Florenzi broke his knee again and will be out for another 7 months. #Florenzi domani sarà operato al crociato se la visita a #VillaStuart confermerà il timore di una nuova lesionehttps://t.co/fRWWFsef0R— Pagineromaniste.com (@PagineRomaniste) February 16, 2017
It doesn't look good. However, the quote does say "if" his exam tomorrow reveals a new tear. So, they still don't know for sure.
I'll have my doctorate degree in physical therapy this June. So excuse my arrogance in this field, but a complete recovery from an ACL reconstruction is IMPOSSIBLE by 3-6 months as Roma were seeking out. A full recovery from that procedure takes a minimum 9 months. In fact, many ACL re-tears occur post ~3 months after surgery due to pathophysiological reasons, which is roughly what happened to Florenzi. I love my Roma unconditionally but their rehab team needs a shape-up.
Rui's surgery wasn't a full reconstruction, just a repair, they are different procedures with different protocols. Rudiger's rehab might have been either (1) more effective or (2) shorter because they used an ACL graft from his Achilles. A graft from the patellar tendon is a different and longer protocol.
It's hard to get these guys to hold still long enough to let these injuries heal. Every minute they're not improving is a minute lost to them. We should start strapping players to the wall of the medical office for the duration of their recovery time.
We need to seriously evaluate how we do things starting from our fitness regimes to the medical team. This many major knee injuries in such a short period is just ridiculous.
90% of ACL surgeries are full reconstructions. Best place to take craft is hamstring but athletes ALWAYS get crafts from organ donation bank. So it's a dead mans hamstring. The circullation comes back to knee 4 months postop. After that it's basically just about rehab. Edit. If there is a craft involved it's always a full reconstruction.
Where do you come from? They never use the Achilles tendon here in Austria and only use the Patellar tendon in rare cases. It's Semitendinosus here most of the time.
