My wife wears this RBG print to work: https://www.betabrand.com/womens/tops/longsleeve-button-down-ruth-bader-ginsberg-leopard It's more subtle than it appears here because no one is really looking for her face in the midst of a leopard print.
JUST IN - Schiff shuts down GOP request to make Hunter Biden testify:“This inquiry is not and will not serve, however, as a vehicle to undertake the same sham investigations into the Bidens or 2016 that the President pressed Ukraine to conduct for his personal political benefit”— Josh Lederman (@JoshNBCNews) November 9, 2019
mulvanety is joining a lawsuit against his boss? Even in a White House of never-befores, this may be one of the more head-spinning: The president’s chief of staff is trying to join a lawsuit against the president. @maggieNYT https://t.co/XzZVkKPSZx— Peter Baker (@peterbakernyt) November 10, 2019
A book deal will help Bolton if he winds up providing damning testimony against Trump and becomes forever shunned and unemployable by republicans. https://thehill.com/homenews/469769-bolton-gets-book-deal-report
Good thread on Fiona Hill testimony. The GOP Works for Putin. Hill: The Russians thrive on misinformation and disinformation ... the Russians were who attacked us in 2016. and they’re writing the script for others to do the same. & if we don’t get out act together, they will continue to make fools of us internationally. pic.twitter.com/sVzWOupdwW— Laura Rozen (@lrozen) November 10, 2019
This guy is leaving Congress. Here is his defense of Trump. RADDATZ: Congressman, you're again talking about process. The process. I asked you about substance. How do you fend against the substance? THORNBERRY: Well, as you know -- maybe you know, Martha -- I believe that it is inappropriate for a president to ask a foreign leader to investigate a political rival. Now that leads to a question, if there's a political rival with a family member who’s involved in questionable activity, what do you do? Just let them alone. But set that aside. I believe it was inappropriate. I do not believe it was impeachable. And process -- you know, you all always want to say substance, not process. There's a reason we let murderers and robbers and rapists go free when their due process rights have been violated. We believe the integrity of the system, the integrity of the constitution, the integrity of the processes under our legal system, is more important than the outcome of one particular case. -------------------------- So wrong. I mean, due process doesn't apply here. It's not a judicial proceeding. Is he that stupid? Still love that he compares Trump to murderers and rapists.
Retaliation on Vindman: Lt. Col. Vindman was illegally demoted then fired today.More laws Trump has broken:15 USC §2087 & 6 USC §625—Whistleblower Protections5 USC §2302(b)—1989 Whistleblower Protection ActThis is intimidation & meant to send a message for all others who speak out against Trump. https://t.co/MuGWkEhWzE— Trinity (@TrinityResists) November 10, 2019
Parnas is spilling the beans. Rudy, you are about to meet the bus. Giuliani Associate Says He Gave Demand for Biden Inquiry to Ukrainians https://t.co/3poTYt1NOC— Save Democracy (@rleas) November 11, 2019
Sondland and the other witnesses also already admitted that the demand was in fact delivered. It's important to recognise that the GOP simply delivers disinfo to the rubes without any factual foundation. Many of these claims are not even worth debunking. So "the claim is being vigorously disputed" is yet one more example of bad journalism.
He may or may not be that stupid but certainly some of Trump's supporters are and he probably hopes enough others are so he has some political cover for the upcoming impeachment / Senate trial.
Josh Marshall makes a point I hadn’t thought of. 1. The current House GOP theory/defense is that Sondland, Mulvaney, and Giuliani went rogue. They acted without Trump’s knowledge or direction. 2. Mulvaney is suing, and one element of his suit is that Trump is exerting executive privilege therefore he shouldn’t have to testify. You see the problem, right? How can a rogue staffer have any relevant communications with POTUS that prevent him from testifying? But it gets back to the points above. The point isn’t to convince anyone with more than 3 firing brain cells. The point is to throw enough black ink around that the squid can escape. I will say that Josh got one point very wrong. He wrote that chaos has always been Trump’s best weapon. OK, that helps him with the media, but the top, let’s say 1000, GOP stakeholders (congressmen, governors, major donors, etc) pay enough attention to this stuff that they know it’s bullshit, yet they stick with him. His best weapon up until he clinched the nomination was chaos. In the 3 1/2 years since, his best weapon has been the anti-patriotism of the institutional Republican Party.
Ooops! QPQ!!! Rick Perry political supporters, Michael Bleyzer and partner, Alex Cranberg, were awarded a 50 year oil drilling contract in Ukraine, by none other than Perry himself .This should be investigated— susan 🟧 🟦 (@susan52132641) November 11, 2019 1193916279129878528 is not a valid tweet id
Who do you think he is talking to? You? Me? Anybody here? Nope, he is talking to the Republican base who may not be all that knowledgeable about the process. But all they hear is "trial."
Exactly. You don’t have to be an scholar, just know you were going to benefit from it: He doesn't have to understand its a crime. He only has to understand that he was trying to get something out of Ukraine, and that thing was for his personal benefit. https://t.co/30qm4PTgXZ— Mieke Eoyang (@MiekeEoyang) November 12, 2019
