Certainly not. Deniers have no case to make -- they don't know the science, can't refute it, can't credibly argue against the remedies. They're utterly helpless if the topic is opened. All they can do to help their cause is shut down the discussion.
Correct. We had to cancel our travel plans for the weekend. We bought supplies Thursday and Friday and I was going to put up the shutters on Saturday, but that's when the path was adjusted northward, so it was all in all a very quiet weekend for us. Since we are stocked, I think we will donate most of it to the Bahamas relief effort.
Good idea. We're waiting for it to make its way up. I think the forecast course is favorable. European forecast Model has been spot on.

Factcheck.com Has an article on the whole 20% Oxygen from the Amazon, where it may have come from, why it is bullshit, why even when it is important to protect the Amazon rain-forest, it is still important to call out bullshit. https://www.factcheck.org/2019/09/amazon-doesnt-produce-20-of-earths-oxygen/

A problem that people that want to do something about Global warming. While the perception has shifted and more people are concerned about it and more people understand that it is human caused. The problem is that people still do not want to pay the price to do something about it. https://www.bloomberg.com/opinion/a...climate-change-is-a-winning-issue-think-again I am happy that they are at least talking about a carbon tax, that is the best way to fight this, pass the cost to the producers that will pass it to the costumers. But the argument will be nasty, with GOP ads about democrats wanting to increase your heating and electric bills. Higher prices for electricity and heat is what we need, we need to convince people that it is for the best. http://www.apnorc.org/projects/Pages/Is-the-Public-Willing-to-Pay-to-Help-Fix-Climate-Change-.aspx
ok, so here is Yang's Climate change policy. some iffy stuff, but some stuff that sounded good to me. This may trigger some liberals. He does want to help nuclear (I did not see if he talked about what to do with nuclea waste). He does not dislike the green new deal. He is in favor of a carbon tax (he calls it a fee). https://www.yang2020.com/blog/climate-change/
Just 16, @GretaThunberg is already one of our planet’s greatest advocates. Recognizing that her generation will bear the brunt of climate change, she’s unafraid to push for real action. One reason to be hopeful despite the pretty grim current reality. Pretty amazing to see all those young people mobilizing across the world for a vital cause. Greta Thunberg at #UNGA: "This is all wrong. I shouldn’t be up here. I should be in school on the other side of the ocean. Yet you come to us young people for hope. How dare you. Atacan a Greta Thunberg por supuestamente estar patrocinada por lobbies y empresas energéticas verdes, como si los defensores de los combustibles fósiles fueran un ONG dedicada a la preservación de la memoria histórica de los dinosaurios.— Félix de Bedout (@fdbedout) September 24, 2019 "They go after Greta Thunberg because she is supposedly sponsored by green energy companies and lobbies, like if the fossil fuel defenders were NGOs, dedicated to preserve the historic memory of dinosaurs."
