Amazing! How did the Chinese get their pyrotechnics this far into Russia without being noticed?
Or is Russia in on the Global Warming hoax? The plot thickens!

    NY Times....Aug 2

BERLIN — Britain and France want to end the sale of diesel cars. Madrid and Athens are banning them entirely. Automakers like Volvo are switching to electric engines.

In Germany, those developments have created something akin to a national emergency, threatening an industry that employs hundreds of thousands of people.

As others have increased investment in electric cars and pushed tougher rules threatening diesel, though, German auto executives and political leaders meeting in Berlin on Wednesday appeared determined to rescue the technology.

    Cough...cough! o_O

It's great you can admit your lack of understanding due to science and facts. So why not just go with the scientists and forget your theories? It's equivalent of saying "I don't believe the answer, but what is the answer?"

I'm reminded of a line from "Amazing Grace".

He's blind he just can't see!

The guy said he's been there 50+ years.
According to NOAA. gov the sea rise in his location the last 50 yrs was 150mm +/- or 5.9".

There is nothing to be coughed about. If there's one thing Germans can do is take other new business models and make a large industry out of it. They will do the same with electric.

This is just a try to cash in some last money before 1.2 mil car manufacturing jobs will turn into 300 k.

And if in doubt, Germans will always prefer to buy a German electric car over a Tesla.

Nuclear was way over 30% years ago. You almost cant count in how tmuch nuclear waste that saved.

The news here really is you can run an industrial 1st world country with 40% renewables.

Which do you think uses more energy?

    Population of Germany = 82,000,000

    Population of Montana = 1,000,000

    I really question your intelligence...

I'd say, Montana used a lot of energy back in the heyday...

Hopefully they will be a bit more honest in the future. As far as electric cars go It's a no brainer. It's so sunny there that a teeny solar panel on the roof will suffice. Just don't cross the border into gloomy France. :p

Dieselgate Product Of Vast VW-BMW-Daimler Car Cartel Conspiracy

According to Der Spiegel (link in German), VW admitted to German authorities that it may have engaged in “anti-competitive behavior” with rivals BMW and Daimler via special committees of up to 200 employees that set prices, agreed on suppliers, and engaged in other forms of coordination.

One major topic of the meetings was how to manage emissions from diesel engines. The result, as we now know in Volkswagen’s case, was the installation of emissions-cheating software, which was uncovered by "American regulators" in 2015 and has cost the automaker dearly since.

Nobody knows more about cheating than American regulators! :coffee:

We have developed a technology to dominate world energy systems. Hurrican Sandy had your Tristate area energy system looking like you are a third world country.

Tesla is already there, you are trying to catch up.

When was the last hurricane in Germany? Never? It's easy to point and laugh when you don't have to plan for the event.
