looks like Skippy will be getting a new deal after his 31goal haul this season.

a good move as he's more than proven his worth over the course of the season. at £700k he was another great buy by WGS.

Celtic have begun talks to extend the contract of top scorer Scott McDonald.

The Australian scored 31 goals for the club after signing for £700,000 from Motherwell last summer.

And after helping Celtic clinch the Clydesdale Bank Premier League title on Thursday, he wants more glory nights.

McDonald said: "My agent, Lou Sticca, flew from Australia for talks with Peter Lawwell last week.

"He told me that things had gone well but I said I didn't want to know any of the details.

"I wanted to concentrate on our match against Dundee United and winning the title. Everything else could wait.

"Now that we've won it, it's the most incredible feeling I've experienced, and I want more of this.

"That's why I'm so thrilled at the prospect of signing a new deal and making sure I've got a few more years of winning trophies for Celtic in front of me."
