I wonder if Favre is planning for life without Pulisic assuming he's gone in the winter window?

you guys need to read the tea leaves.

this is kind of a win no matter how you approach it. this is one of the few times I don't worry about a Yank. He is demonstrably better than anyone on this team other than Rolls-Reus. He doesn't play it saves his legs and from injury, or he is exiting in Jan/Summer.

Interesting that everyone on the bench started the CL game. Only Diallo, Hakimi and Guerreiro will start both games. It looks like our boy is second shift now.

Clearly keeping him from being injured at this point. He’s been good this season, and nothing he’s done would have sent him to the bench. But he’s had a couple small injuries that has kept him from starting a few times. And fans use that as “he’s a bench player.” The dude is as good as gone

makes sense as a possibility. good idea to test the team without CP to see who they are without him.

CP is not a starter anymore (for whatever reason) - but I'm still convinced that the best version of BVB includes CP...

It was expected that Pulisic would sit on the bench today. Favre doesn't like to have start both Pulisic and Sancho at the same time. Sancho didn't even travel to the CL game, so it was almost certain that he was going to start.

Seems that Pulisic is only competing against Sancho at this point while JBL and Guerreiro compete on the other side. I don't see this changing unless Dortmund start losing, and Favre is forced to switch things up.

That CL game was for the reserves. All the BvB starters were rested.

They look just fine without him. BVB is a wagon this season, have constructed a great team with strong depth. Lot of multi-positional talent on the roster.

Sancho with a great assist. What differentiates him from Pulisic is that he is an excellent passer. I think CP is the better dribbler Sanchos final ball and understanding of the game is noticeably superior. I wonder about CPs fit in Favre system, where passing is at a premium. BVB was an amazing place to start his career but I’ll be happy to see him move on.

    Sancho - Assist
    Guerrero - Assist

Not looking good for CP's future playtime

Rotational starter in the best club in the Budesliga and one of the Top 8 in the world is nothing to sneeze at. Besides, he'll have a chance to score a couple against hapless Fortuna on Tuesday.

The Germans need to fix their calendar though, ending the season's first half with this many games is not healthy.

Oh boy I would have loved to see him at AM under Simeone. That would have been unbelievable (if this is to be believed).

    That's a bit of a stretch.

He's become a SUB with some occasional starts when they rest their starters.

This is several steps back from where most people had expected him to be this season.

I am with you, just because of Simeone. That guy just seems to be able to make the most out of his players.

In Spain you can't just dribble until you lose it, you must learn to pass the ball too.

I would not be surprised if there's an agreement. Chelsea reportedly already travelled to Germany and sat down with both BVB and Pulisic.

Also partly explains his place in the team. If you're clearly set on moving elsewhere and Sancho is playing well, you will be less of a priority.
