Must have misread the thread tittle. Was looking for a Pulisic thread not a serial poster that fights with everyone then ends half the posts “agree to disagree” as though the onerous is on the other.

Shrek 1 2 and 3 was better than crash... can we effing stay on topic please???

jesus christ I didnt come here to talk about former USMNT players glory or lack thereof....

Pulisic and BVB are in serious turtle shell mode. They need to hunker down tomorrow and get a win in a very desperate way. If they dont, then the likelihood of them winning the BL is in serious jeopardy. They can ill afford to drop points again tomorrow. Bayern is really squeezing them right now. THey need a good bit of luck to hold them with Bayern dropping a game soon.

Okay, it seems like everyone has agreed to get back on topic. Let's stick to the agreement.

Not to be pedantic, but McBride has a pub named after him at Craven Cottage and not a statue.
There is however a statue of my neighbor’s step-father Johnny Haynes.

For some, a pub is a statue. Not for me since I'm a terrible lightweight.

Some trolls are at least entertaining, sometimes. Dude just comes in and quibbles about every little thing. Consistently. Annoying AF

That’s too bad. He seems to be getting more prone to these 1-3 week injuries.

Still it’s better to have these then what Reus goes thru.

Man it's always something with him..

Dortmund needs him and hes not available...

Love the kid because of hes helped bring to us soccer but hes seriously not a savior or someone we will be able to hang our hats on. Hes just popular and good for the u.s. game.

Otherwise there are going to be a lot of players who will play a more centralized role in the resurgance of u.s. soccer to world cup play.

Rest is not a terrible thing for the professional. Seriously. The body needs a break now and again. I'm fine if he just trains till August. You only get so many miles. Drive them wisely.

yeah, but i'd imagine he wants to know he gave his all for the title this season (and so would the fans).

Sure, but more than one pro has done long-term damage to their career by coming back too early or playing when they weren't fit. Watching the last few Dortmund games, I'll be shocked if they hold off the Bayerischers in the home stretch. They need some fresh thinking.

Since Aug. 2017, this will be CP's seventh injury time out due to a soft tissue injury (injuries excluding knocks, the flu, etc.)

Let's hope he doesn't turn into JOB Mark II.

My sense is that this situation is quite common for players who are playing lots of first team minutes while still in their teens.

    If it’s still happening when he’s 22 and 23, then we’ve got a problem.

That is what happens when an 18-19 year old kid plays 3k plus minutes in a season.

He may need to learn how to stretch a bit better, and work on recovery. He is young, but he is not invincible.

Many players go through injury spells, and then turn a corner and their problems go away. RG was a walking sick note for to years, play a game or two and thne miss another month. This season he has been in excellent health. Ditto Reus, until this injury.

Easy to forget that he's still very young. Every athlete will have a different "durability" quotient. Plenty of variables play into whether you can stay injury-free, including luck. Early signs "seem" to point to a susceptible physical constitution.

Chelsea also typically is very good in terms of players not getting injured. Year after year they have some of the lowest total games missed across all players.
