are ye guys interested in the Gaelic football........inferior game i know....but still good craic to watch
kicked off last week with a dour game between cavan and down.....i had down to score a goal which they did....eventually......but i reckon cavan could have beat them if they took their chances.....donegal should put down out in the next round but cavan ...when they get their def back together and with that fat young fella.....they will casue a few problems for whoever gets them in the qualifers

this week .........armagh should win......no problem

i reckon louth could give meath a game......i have seen meath and they arenot much....they have no defence.....and can you believe it...they are 40/1 to lift Sam!!!!!!!!! and they deserve to be that price!!!
also offaly should beat westmeath no problem...esp with Weest meath missing dessie dolan and rory o connoll
i have 10 win double on Louth +3 pts and offaly

    cheers

What I remember when I tried messing around with my brother's hurling stick was how damn heavy it was.

I was but a little girl then though.

I've watched with non-Irish, who are fascinated by

    a) the lack of diving.
    b) you need to nearly have your head hacked off to be awarded a free kick.:D

    Re: the Ga

oh man it aint like that anymore
the Ga usually copy the football anyway
nowadays you see diving in the Gaelic......esp from the northern teams.....
and its easy to get a free now....just fall to the ground when you are surrounded by a few defenders........
    re.....westmeath v offaly........ref gave off 5 very dodgy frees

    Re: the Ga

I fast forwarded through most of that match
the Limerick vs Tiperarry match was a great one though, Limerick came out of the gates fast with 2 goals in the first 10 minutes, then Tiperarry came back with an onslaught, great game :)

    Re: the Ga

2 great results this week in the hurling........didnt expect westmeath to beat dublin.........dublin were aweful........no balls at all!!!

how the hell did New York manage that one!!! jetlag for derry?

BUT there are problems..........some new yourl players are scared that if they travel to the final in antrim or whereever ...they might not get the visa to return to the big apple
AND antrim have refused to play them in new york.......a tough one to sort out for the GAA!!!

maybe london will beat mayo in the football!!

    Re: the Ga

Why do New York even enter the competition if they cant even travel to play in Ireland. Quite a skrewup on the GAA's part.

    Re: the Ga

According to today's Irish Times the game definately won't be played in Belfast on June 4th in any case - the New York board reckon that they can't organise flights & accomodation 'at such short notice' :D

It's probably going to end up as a forfeit.
