Does Freddy’s name still have enough pull to justify yet another contact to be a backup? This is ridiculous and hilarious. Granted he’s probably making $35K a season. Maybe it’s worth it for the 9 people on this thread to be interested in their team.
Freddy is only making $35K a season? That seems kind of difficult to make a living while at the same time, needing to eat, train and be a pro with that salary. I hope he invested wisely or at least saved his money.
If its $35k , after taxes in Nevada is $29,753 net. Unless the club is paying for it, after rent, food and living like a pro, he will be lucky if he is netting $15, 000 a year or $1,250 a month. Poor Freddy will be living on peanuts. He would be better off retiring and taking up a job at a roulette table in Vegas.
RIP Sigi one of the best coaches in American soccer history.— @FreddyAdu (@FreddyAdu) December 27, 2018 Indeed. RIP Sigi. Anybody remember this match in 2005?
Take a look at that lost generation. Some real journeymen and never-were's on that list. I did want to post something, somewhere regarding Sigi, so thanks for giving me the opportunity. A class guy, and the soccer community will miss him. RIP Sigi.
I was surprised that ten members of that u20 team actually got a cap (Kljestan, Feilhaber, Spector, Evans, Adu, Nguyen, Gaven, Wynne, Szetela, Barrett). I would have expected fewer. Some interesting careers, even if disappointing from a national team perspective. They 'played' for clubs in 24 different countries: Azerbaijan, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Croatia, Denmark, Finland, France, Georgia, Germany, Greece, Italy, Mexico, Monaco, Morocco, the Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Serbia, Spain, Turkey, USA, and Vietnam.
It would be an interesting party game to see if anyone can correctly match those countries with the player that played there, without Googling of course. The countries that I stumble on are Azerbaijan, Georgia and Morocco, although all three are probably Adu related teams!
The locker room is getting #LIT because our players are coming in this week! Roster announcement SOON ... #VivaLights pic.twitter.com/syFDMqWhdj— Las Vegas Lights FC (@lvlightsfc) January 6, 2019 Although keep in mind that USL Championship expansion side Loudoun United could be a soft landing spot if Wynadla and Lashbrook don’t re-sign Freddy.
