Adu should sign with the SF Deltas (they could use the attendance boost) or with some other NASL team... is he good enough to play at the NASL level?
Well, that didn't take long. More from Freddy: Freddy AduVerified account @FreddyAdu 3h3 hours ago I've been used by too many people over the years for publicity and exposure and I am determined not to let that happen anymore! Man lol it feels like I can't catch a break! Was excited about the opportunity but it wasn't meant to be. Hopefully a better opp comes! Just when you think you have seen it all!!! Problem is, at this point publicity is all he's got. Sign with another USL side and prove you are more than that. Otherwise move on to something else. This thread keeps going though. I'll follow you forever Freddy and post here!
If a player doesn't make it by the time he is 27, I think its time to move on. I hope he saved enough money to do something else. Maybe he can start a soccer camp?
If youre not good enough to play in Finland or Tampa rowdies, at 28, you need to quit. But how did he look good at philly when he was 23, then not good enough to make the 18 in Tampa at 27??? Doesn't make sense.

I hate when they do that. The original article is from the Goal.com portal, but if you click on it, you're sent to Sporting News, which is a spam central scam. GoalUSA spoofs its links to that place, and that should be illegal.
He doesn't like soccer. Doesn't like to run and workout. Maybe when he was a kid. But no one can live up to those expectations. Burnt out. That gold cup and I think more specificity losing to El Salvador with u23s did him in. Now it's about money and women and hookahs and movies. He can't make himself try hard to be a decent player when so much more was expected when he can just chill and travel.
I assume you have to like to train/practice to run a good camp or be a decent coach...a basic understanding of team tactics would probably be nice too.
