Tampa Bay Rowdies vs Pittsburgh River hounds. Both teams should be challenging for the playoffs. Rowdies had a very disappointing year last year, but got a lot younger this year.
Dang, I’m watching Birmingham Legion vs Ottawa Fury, and ex Fire player Daniel Johnson is GOOD. He can still play in mls.
Watching NYCFC v LAFC on FS1. NYC seems to have a keeper who's pretty good. I think his name is Sean Johnson or something like that. Of course as soon as I finished typing Vela puts one past Sean on a breakaway.
Watching English league 2 Mansfield vrs Lincoln city. Why you ask because it is the only game on and it is that or soap operas.
I actually enjoy watching lower league games in pristine picture quality when the chance is given. ESPN+ has been very good about this. That said, the game has been pretty good so far. BTW I'm casting it to my Chromecast on the TV from my computer.
I totally agree with you. Something about watching soccer in a compact, loud stadium. Some of these towns have a population of like 30k people, and they live and die supporting their team. It’s really fun to watch.
I'm going to have to drag myself out of bed Saturday morning as ESPN+ is showing a League One game at 7AM (Walsall/Barnsley). I also need to remember to tune in late in the evening to watch Waldo's Las Vegas.
Still virtually nothing for me. I have weeks of games on the DVR, but I just skip through them at x300 speed, watch the goals and delete. I don't even bother with the ESPN+ games or Bundesliga. The Fire's continual suuuuuuuck-age has really sapped my interest. The Fire playing all of their games in March at ongodly hours on Saturdays in front of hundreds of hardy and foolhardy souls has not helped.
You obviously have Hauptman-Pauno-Nimroditis. One of the most common symptoms is lack of interest in watching all soccer for an extended period of time.
Yes, this condition has sucked the enjoyment of soccer right out of me. The one thing about Hauptman-Pauno-Nimroditis is that Puanovic apparently does watch "soccer for an extended period of time." He just never learns anything from his soccer watching (or playing).
More USL Championship (in the background while I game) ... Tulsa / Tacoma. Are the Fire still affiliated with the Roughnecks?
We are now affiliated with the Lansing Ignite (yes that is their real name). Even better, they are owned by the group that runs the Lansing Lugnuts minor league baseball team. The fun their opponents must have with that name! We are also affiliated with Indy-11. As a result we send players to Memphis (which also hosts players from NYCFC). https://www.hottimeinoldtown.com/20...19-affiliate-teams-indy-eleven-lansing-ignite https://www.lansingstatejournal.com...rship-alliance-mls-usl-league-one/3205242002/
Interestingly, while looking up the previous two responses, there are a bunch of former Fire personnel coaching in the USL. Dave the short Sarachan (North Carolina FC) Tom Soehn (Birmingham Legion FC) of course, Eric Wynalda (Las Vegas Lights) John Wolyniac (Red Bulls II) David Vaudreuil (Tulsa, through 2018) Of course, all from the Peter Wilt era, along with: Chris Armas Jesse Marsch Jim Curtin Ante Razov Carlos Bocanegra CJ Brown etc. all coaching/front office in MLS. Not to mention Nowak Klopas both former head coaches for two MLS teams each. or the former players who have coached abroad (Hristo, Kubik, Kosecki) It is also just adorable that Wikipedia lists the Chicago USL team starting play next year at Lincoln Yards.
At the bar watching Poland [emoji1200] v. Latvia [emoji1145]. My first non Fire game of the year (so, I guess my first actual soccer game of the year).
Lewandowski really needs to stop missing the target (and hitting the post). Could, should be at least 3-0 Poland right now.
Poland is doing everything they can not to score. They probably will, just by chance. Kuba is on now. The fact he is not with the Fire is a crime.
