DeKalb County United bowing out of competing in USOC this fall. They have decided to focus on using resources and energy on developing the club for long term growth.
I think DeKalb is looking at moving up the ladder in the next 2 years or so. Wilt's NISA is in holding pattern , but I seem to remember they were looking at becoming a 4th and 3rd division league (with pro-rel). NPSL is also in the middle of making a move to recreate themselves into a D4 and D3 league as well. Thing is , there maybe some lawsuits flying over it. Alot of the grassroots soccer people are involved in NPSL and USSF is blocking them from using NPSLPRO for their 3rd division name. There is alot of other shenanigans going on, including some pretty nasty accusations against Wilt . It's a real shame , lower division US soccer just can't stop the drama fighting.
Yep, I was surprised that it was not a sellout. The 18,309 was completely accurate. If it was a Fire game, they would have called it a sellout.
Because the Fire are not on TV, I turned on the Cruz Azul-Tigres match. I really do need to start watching more LigaMX.
I often say “The EPL sucks”, and its kind of a metaphor for the shortcomings of their skill and style in relation to the “unwarranted” praise the league receives because of marketing and English announcers. That said.... This long form article about Modric and the English system is really well done and should/could open some eyes on the subject. The Man who Ruined an English summer Luka Modric might be the world's best player. He's also English football's biggest nemesis. So what makes him tick and why can't we find our own version of the Croatian master? https://www.joe.co.uk/sport/modric-dream-killer-190431 @Fanaddict News worthy?
Bump. Because the Fire have increased their level of suck to lofty new heights. I'm going to make better use of my ESPN+ subscription by watching more USL games.
All the big European leagues are kicking off now, but I am so despondent about the Fire, I am about to say "f*ck it" to soccer for a while.
After enjoying FuboTV for the past year, it no longer has Serie A. Does anyone know of a good service with calcio that ism’t the subpar ESPN+? I don’t want to deal with ESPN’s severe limitations.
I think Serie A's rights are owned by ESPN/Disney now so I think ESPN+ is the only way to get the games legitimately.
Inability to record. Replays not immediately available. Can’t start a game in progress from the beginning. Most annoyingly ESPN+ trying to be a news source instead of a cable channel and broadcasting front and center the scores of the games you’re logging in to watch spoiling them for you. At the price I can understand and accept some of the technical limitations but trying to be a news source just damages the service.
