Same. I’m out of town for the next two games and maybe home in time for a Sunday night game against Bavarians.
...how about reading? https://www.newyorker.com/magazine/2018/06/25/how-we-watch-soccer-now?mbid=social_facebook Interestinf long article with lots of good info and even mentions some of the reasons why I say the EPL sucks.
Dekalb County falls to RWBAdria 3-2. Good effort by United , as a club that didn't even exist a year ago they've showed promise. Hopefully they can keep things in order and keep a core of guys into next year . Would love to see them and the core of UPSL MW Central eventually become a D4 Pro Chicago league.
USL (last 25 minutes), Las Vegas/St. Louis. Las Vegas would fit in in 1996 MLS with their jerseys BTW.
Taking in the NY derby on FS1. Nice that I can watch NY teams in Chicago...but not the Fire. Fkuc you, Hauptman...and N-Rod....and Pawnd-o-bitch. In every thread.
Bonus, Danielle Slaton working the sidelines! ...and Armas, chewing his own liver as he stalks the sideline. I love that man. ...and thank Jah for that, as I'm researching potential new songs for my recently formed Irish punk band, and am in a quandary over finding examples to emulate or cover that don't: 1) Deeply offend cherished beliefs of fellow band members*; and 2) don't leave the audience in a suicidal state. * I'm easy...I believe I'll have another. ** FFS!!!
I'm glad MLS is pretty strict with their "an expansion team must have a viable stadium plan in place when the bid is submitted" rule. Other than that it is a joke that a "top tier" game is being played on a field that small.
I'm watching NYCFC vs.NYRB. A keeper that should still be playing for us, oh a coach that should be involved with our team, not NYRB's (Hamlett is with NYRB's, they can keep him).
FIFA allows a pitch to be as narrow as 50 yards. They're well within the limits, although 70 yards minimum is customary. Could be worse, I played at Rosenblatt Stadium in Omaha where you had to negotiate the pitcher's mound and dirt infield. Pretty sure the Sting at Comiskey had to deal with similar.
