Several posters in this forum have alleged that DD was released. I have asked for clarification and recevied none. Can anyone confirm this is the case?

There's also been no attempt from the team to explain why Dichio didn't travel to LA. On the surface the rumour seems crazy, but the lack of any other information is ominous.

yup. look it, i hope i'm wrong but if i'm not there's got to be some serious questions answered by the "brain-trust" who decided to keep barrett instead. this is horseshit.

Though I suppose one can make a case that Dichio isn't at his best in the heat ... and Barrett and the Gambians might be a better choice in LA ...

I'm having difficulty understanding why TFC would release a player, a fan favourite at that, so late into what he has declared to be his last season before retirement.

The only explanation I can see is that there was some international squad space needed.

There IS another explanation - and that is that this is nothing more than a BS rumour.

Exactly. ILCT doesn't have any proof of this and is just being a s**t-disturber.

If you're gonna post some crap like this, you better back it up or everyone's gonna tear you and your rumour to shreds.

I sincerely hope that this is just a rumour. Even at his age, DD has continued to prove that he is a feared point of attack in this league.

If he is being released, I hope its because its something that he has decided to do and not because Mo/CC has decided he can no longer contribute. There's going to be some major backlash from the fans if it is the latter.

You do realize that Dichio is in his last year? So they would get rid of a 24 year old to keep a player for 8 games, and a player that has not even touched the field?? I think you should manage the team, seriously.

Are you gonna apologize then if he's right? Not saying I believe anything but until there's some sort of further info either way why even try to pass judgement?

That said, I am surprised that there hasn't even been an inkling of this story from more mainstream sources over the weekend. As they say where there's smoke there's fire and surely by now, if there was a fire, some journalists or at least bloggers would have their smoke detectors going off.

If there's evidence to that effect, then yeah, I'll admit I was wrong. I have a good feeling that it won't come to that.

    Yep

If you want to discuss his fate in a more long-term sense, go ahead.

I'm sure his coaching and DJ skills will find him in good stead.

I just heard from my family friend...no truth to this rumour!

In fact, DD did not have a blow out with MO and CM and has a lower back problem that is bothering him slightly.

He might be flying out for our next game....

Please don't start rumours....it is not beneficial. If you did hear this from a "source" it is obvioulsy not reliable.
