As some clubs are starting to reveil their kits for the upcoming season, I think its time for a thread where we can compile all the new gear of the German clubs from Bundesliga to Kreisklasse. Last year brought some really nice shirts but also some shockers (check here), this year the cards will be reshuffled again.
    Let the fashion show begin!

As usual, Bayern is among the first teams to present their new swag from Adidas. This year, they come out with a bold red and gold kit, which will underscore their superiority and claim for leadership as Germany's top team in the... "Cup der Verlierer"??! :p
    Anyway, here it is:

Also check the nice little YouTube clip about the new kit if you're interested...

    I think it's gorgeous.

(Shouldn't this be in the general section btw? Maybe a mod can move it?)

So, is Nuernberg sporting purple jerseys next season, or do I have to fix my monitor?

Well, last year's edition was in the clubs section, that's why I opened it here... Anyway, if a mod thinks this it move-worthy, it shall be moved.

I think last year I asked the mods to move it, too, but that didn't happen (without any mod commenting on it).

VfL Wolfsburg just revealed their new (2011-12) jerseys for next year in their last home match against Kaiserslautern as I am watching their match as I speak, what do you guys think?

Would you buy one for you jersey/trikot collection, or would you wait and see what happens to the VfL next season?

    Here are the new kits:

You must be pleased, they look just like Sounders kits.

I just feel sorry for the rest of the WOB fans :p

Looks like the designers' job was "The VW logo must be the most beautiful thing!"

After watching today's match when they debuted their new kits, if you ask me, I think that the best jerseys/trikots that Wolfsburg had were the ones Puma made from 1997-2002, their first years at the top flight (Bundesliga) after earning their promotion, those IMO were the best ones I've seen, and I happen to own a couple of them (1998-99 and 2000-02, both bought through eBay Germany) they wore, during their last years playing at VfL Stadion before moving to their current home, the beautiful Volkswagen Arena for the 2002-03 season.

If anyone here knows a site where I can buy both the 1997-98 (green one) and 1999-2000 season jerseys/trikots (short sleeved, blank on back please, in size XL, then please go ahead and either post the shop address here or PM me with it.

I recently realized that really beautiful jerseys can be a good investment. I bought my shirt at the end of the season for 30 D-Marks back then, and it's worth something like 70 Euros today on Ebay. Well, you probably have to buy a beauty like this:

That is a pretty sweet jersey bro, how much do you think my 2000-02 VfL Wolfsburg jersey would get me ($$$) on eBay (only washed once, in the gentle cycle, air-dried, just hours after getting it just to bring out the real beauty in it). No I am not giving up on the Wolves, as I already have a homemade kit featuring my 1998-99 Puma VfL Jersey and a pair of black (generic ones like those they wore in road matches) Puma shorts and black Puma socks, but with the sour economy here in the States and myself barely able to pay the bills every month, I figure that based on your case, should I "cash in" on my investment, or should I hold onto it until later? I sure could use the money, but is now the time to "pull the trigger" and sell it or should I keep it and go for the other 2 Puma VfL Jerseys (1997-98, and 1999-2000 ones) I am looking for?

No idea. I think there's the problem that the Wolfsburg fan scene is pretty small, and many "neutral" collectors won't buy anything Wolfsburg-related. Maybe you should just have a look at (German) Ebay, and watch some sales.

Yeah, but unlike this season's Sounders FC jerseys, at least the Wolfsburg ones don't have that notorious "bra strap" look in the back, that alone turned me off from getting a 2011 Sounders jersey, I'll get myself one from last year (2009-10) instead either on eBay or through the Sounders pro shop online.

    Zing! :D

Yeah, that weird "bra strap" is bizarre. The last Sounders shirt was much better.

Or, you could just get this new VfL shirt and wear it to Sounders games. :p
