    yup.

The goal he made has got everyone forgetting the subpar performance he had in the midfield.

He does deserve credit for scoring though.

Hey all the sudden he ascending. Just like that Hondurean photographer that wanted to start discord with his claims of a Cuau/Chicharito riff I'm also starting the theory that something real fun happened after the Monserrat/Rafa interview, they must of went out for ice cream in the concentration cafeteria or something ;). Even if the interview was recorded after the fact I'm stick with this theory;).

Man I have always defended Rafa from the very beginning its just so relieving for him to prove all his detractors wrong.

Haters will always hate I guess

You are out of your mind.

I figure you're referring to national team play, where the obvious debate usually exists.

So to you I refer back to Copa America 1993.

Tell me that wasn't Su Majestad carrying our national team.

    But no one remembers that.

    Oh, no.

Well, how about this little gem:

More goals in dead ball situations than every other single Mexican that has ever played in Europe has scored goals... COMBINED.

Sanchez and Marquez are worlds apart: different position, different function, different era, different role players around them.

    Let's not be so naive.

Rafa and Hugol are two of the best footballers ever

But let's not compare, they are completely different

I remember Copa America 1993, and honestly Hugo didn't carry our team through the tournament. Zague scored most of our goals and Galindo and Aspe were the midfield masterminds.

As to whether Rafa is better than Hugo, it's very hard to debate that since they're completely different players.

But I do think that Hugo was one of the best forwards of his generation, if not the best.
