Twice, but it was spoken word, AKA stand-up poetry. Back when it only cost a fiver to see "Henry Rollins and Friends."
Kind of fitting in an old school, braggadocious rap way. As usual no talk of Trumpian accomplishments. We won the election, quit yer bitchin babies, suck on some Trump. The more you see knucklehead Trumpanzees like this the more you think Idiocracy was a blueprint for TrumpCo.
This is a new take on fake news... https://www.theatlantic.com/technol...when-you-cannot-believe-your-own-eyes/533154/ Computer scientists can now make realistic lip-synched videos—ostensibly putting anyone’s words into another person’s mouth. The animated gif that you see above? That’s not actually Barack Obama speaking. It’s a synthesized video of Obama, made to appear as though he’s speaking words that were actually inputted from an audio file. The clip comes from researchers at the University of Washington, who developed an algorithm to take audio of someone talking and turn that into a realistic video of someone speaking those words. In the video below, you can see a side-by-side comparison of the original audio—which came from actual Obama remarks—and the generated video. The individual simulation, though it is at the top of the article. https://cdn.theatlantic.com/assets/media/multimedia/2017/07/obama-simulation/obama-simulation.mp4
Yeah, a technical article written by someone non-technical. I know it bothers you, but if this was from tech website, that would a bigger deal. As is, I think the main issue - and point - is the possibility that this can happen.
I know, but goddamn it sounds clunky as all hell. Usually, I don't expect clunky from the Atlantic. But since you mention it, I don't really get how this is all that newsworthy, as it's become apparent that the Uncanny Valley in terms of audio sync has been close to being bridged for a while (and, because of the nature of the Valley, there's a ton of really hideous stuff out there).
Fun fact: appearing in the See Also section of the Wikipedia entry on The Uncanny Valley is none other than Ted Cruz. I'm not even kidding.
Mike Pence, too. Sadly, because there is also a link for MakeHuman, Pence is right next to Gynoid, which would likely bug him.
Huh. Missed Pence somehow. Good thing there's something between him and Gynoid. The risk of him cheating on his wife is this reduced.
https://www.washingtonpost.com/blog...ion-is-out-of-control/?utm_term=.ca6c6a3985e5 I read the opinion piece article. If you ignore all the details (major and minor) AND read it out of context AND in an alternate reality then the opinion piece really isn't that bad. Anyone else care to comment on it. SPOILER (Move your mouse to reveal the content) SPOILER (open) SPOILER (close) Just kidding, I don't know whether to be insulted or impressed at the gymnastics performed in the opinion piece. I do give them credit for trying to blow smoke up my a$$ but I'm not into that stuff.
I'm familiar enough with him to let others read him, I skim his pieces at the most. He's like a Big Soccer poster.
I don't bother with the right complaining about investigations and media hysteria. If they disapprove on principle, they wouldn't have done BENGHAZI!
