It's always such a great emotional payoff when the different storylines come together. Towards the end of season 1 when Miller and Holden met for the first time, and now when Avasalara and Holden meet in person for the first time.
"Damn, did I miss it?" I love Amos. Is this now the best show on TV? It's hard to think of one that is clearly better that is on the air right now.
One tiny silver lining is that if there ever was a show almost tailor-made to be added to the Netflix library, "The Expanse" would be it. I can't see a scenario in which not a single streaming service is interested in a show that is such a huge critical darling.
Yeah, it's blowing up online. Dumb decision. The production studio has stated that they've already started shipping it around for a pickup elsewhere. Here's hoping one of the streaming networks pick it up.
It's such a no-brainer for that to happen. For some shows, you'd consider the fact that they might not be a great fit, but "The Expanse" is perfect for the Netflix library.
Agreed. Syfy makes some odd decisions, like cancelling Dark Matter as well. It was one of its highest rated shows when they did that.
If this show doesn't get a new home, there are only four episodes left. Four and it feels like it is just getting started, like it has just found its stride. Another great episode. "I am that guy." You knew the line was coming but it as still an awesome moment. I love Amos. I love the entire crew of the Rosinante, really.
Yeah it is such garbage that they cancelled the show. Only thing I can think off is trying to sell it of to Netflix. The content is a needed and omitted part of the sci fi genre plus the crew and I fckn loved belter characters. The ginger in first season was Emmy worthy.... Now what was his name again lol?
Finally got around to this weeks episode, god damn they need to find it a new home. It's criminal that it doesn't get better ratings.
I'm pretty sure that it will find a home on Netflix or Amazon. It sounds like the issue is that the production company has too much control for SyFy's tastes, so SyFy is dropping it - the production company should easily be able to find another way to continue the show. I just caught up with last week's episode, and wow, that was good.
There's very few shows that would make me subscribe to a service I wasn't already subscribed to - e.g. the Marvel shows alone wouldn't make me subscribe to Netflix (we already subscribe), and I love The Tick but didn't subscribe to Amazon Prime just for the recent TV show, but The Expanse is one show that I would subscribe to a new service for. That, and the new season of Young Justice on the upcoming DC streaming service. I guess it helps when I've seen a season or two on "free" TV so know what's worth subscribing to. I'd better start looking into faster internet.
Bezos recently said that going into space was the only thing that made sense for a man of his wealth. Saving "The Expanse" would be a nice start.
Interesting…while I certainly hope it gets picked up, I am not sure would call it the best show on TV…I’ll always filed this one under the category of “I want to like more than I do”…not a bad show, mine you, just not without issues… The storylines are a bit disconnected at times (nature of the beast, I guess) and if not difficult to follow, somewhat tedious…and this from someone who’s read the books… And personally, I find the casting a mixed bag….Miller, Alex, Amos and Avasarala were/are wonderful and spot on…Holden, Naomi, and Bobbie fall flat for me...
I think it's the most enjoyable show on TV. I find it hard to think of anything to rival it now that I've finished all of "The Terror".
So the story has progressed six months? What's the deal with the maintenance technician who placed the bomb (Melba was her name I think)? Always nice to see Drummer. Surprised Amos turned down the reporter.
