In other words: the Breitbart mob will receive a bummer tonight, but Wilders will be back. The new coalition will run into conflict on the cultural issue, and Geert doesn't have his hands tied. The previous one with those parties lasted 2.5 years.

I voted for #10 on the Party for Animals list. He calls himself a "gentleman-hooligan" and he acts like it An excellent generalist who knows a lot about philosophy, political systems, economy, geography and history.

It is odd how much slack I get from my Western European friends/family over Trump and I don't see or hear a single peep about what Erdogan is currently doing. Talk about bad timing - "will not walk safely on the streets" - Erdogan before attack
He's the one who keeps on saying everybody BUT him is a nazi. Very much a pot and kettle situation, that one.

You actually know people that don't talk shit about Erdogan? Shit everyone here compares him to Trump, well except @Umar, i think umar still loves Erdogan.
Erdogan is making mistakes but he's still far better than the opposition in Turkey. We saw the face of the main opposition when they ran over people with tanks and killed them on the streets with helicopter gunships. If he weren't in power we would have a military Junta running Turkey again. As it is we have a fairly moderate populist who (surprise surprise!!) is a politician seeking to increase his power and influence. I certainly wouldn't call for Erdogan to go just now, despite all his flaws he is the best option for Turkey right now. It's like Egypt. Morsi made some political mistakes, all the "moderates" like Baradei jumped all over him and helped to get rid of him, and now people have a vicious dictator in charge who has killed hundreds already. The pro-West faction in Egypt have lost far more rights than they were whinging about under Morsi.
Well, we didn't before, so why would we now? The last military coup before the anti-Erdogan one was back in the mid 80's and this last one happened because of the fact that he's a fascist dictator in the making. I mean, Erdogan and this Gulen character worked together up until a few years ago and the nationwide protests against him started WELL before any military moves against him.
The military have intervened many times in politics since 1980. And the military moved against him and the Refah Party in 1998 - was he intent on becoming a dictator then? Let's face it, the political secularists in Turkey are far more extremist than the political Islamists, as can be seen from the death-counts of the respective sides in recent times. The Islamists have used the police to lawfully break up political protests with tear gas and water cannon. The secularists have used renegade military to break up protests with tanks and helicopter gunships. I leave it to you to consider who is more akin to "fascist dictators".
Putin is many things. But unlike his admirers, stupid is not one of them. Russia is engaged in a full-scale shadow war in Europe https://uk.news.yahoo.com/russia-engaged-full-scale-shadow-011200694.html
Isn't it a choice between a shit sandwich and a shit burger, though? In any event, from what I saw the other night, he's used the Islamist rubes to prop himself up atm so the idea there's some definitive measure of difference between them seems a bit odd, tbh.
Germans know better than anyone where fascist demagoguery leads (the AfD are, unsurprisingly, also heavily supported by Putin and back Assad) Tens of thousands protest German AfD party conference
That's part of it but the other thing is the Germans have gained hugely from the euro currency and the EU in general. It's a load of other people that have lost out, especially the Greeks.
not so much that your average German has gained, more so that they haven't lost out as much as your avergae sth European.
