Been thru 7 clubs after he left United, everyone is fully aware of his turbulent past and he's arguably been one of the biggest bust in recent memory in English football. That being said, the hope is that at 26, he finally gets it, has grown up as a man and is determined on getting his career back on track. Don't believe we've heard negative stories in relation to his personal life, as of late. And conversely, surely Sheffield have made their due diligence as well, unless they're just really desperate. We'll see what happens but for his (and Sheffield's) sake, I hope it works out for him. If he screws up and messes up yet another opportunity, then that's on him.
Just like Balotelli, people will hold onto things for life. Cant wait for him to prove everyone wrong.
Like Balo, it's really up to him and it's his responsibility to keep his nose clean as to not give people (more) ammo to use against him. As stated, I'm not intimate with his private life but he appears to have kept himself out of trouble. And it will take time with some people, but he can eventually turn them around also, provided he just shows he's matured. From that perspective, I hope that going abroad was a good move on his part: on top of keeping him away from what got him in trouble in England, it must been a good experience for him personally, one he's hopefully used to expand his horizons and grow as a person. As mentioned, we'll see what happens now that he's back: he's only got a contract for a year (although with an option to extend it), so he has all the incentive in the world not to mess things up.
Switching gears with regards to another United alum. I feel like nearly every year Oliver Norwood is transferred or loaned out to a new team, and once that team gets promoted to the PL, he gets sent out to another team in the Championship lololol. Maybe this will finally be the year he gets his shot in the PL?
My two cents on Ravel. I agree with @benni... For someone that young to understand that he has problems because of his upbringing and leave to Italy is mature of him. He made a lot of mistakes and admits to them which is why @benni... and I are on the sane page. Lazio and Simone Inzaghi screwed him over. Period. They never gave the kid a chance or hope of a chance so why would he learn the language knowing that they did not see him as a future at the club? I have more faith that he has gotten his stuff right and that his time is short to play at the highest level if he doesn't do it now.
He was 23 when he went to Italy?? It's not like he was 18. That's a normal level of decision making maturity for a 23 year old. Not something atypical at all.
No it isn't normal for someone that has had bad decision making for the past 23 years of his life. it is normal for someone that is normal.
With regards to the whole Ravel thing, it just seems like it boils down to the kind of person you are...you either like to make excuses for people and give them 3rd/4th/5th chances or you hold people accountable. Either way is fine I guess.
You can put and hold people accountable. He has paid for his mistakes. You have to put context into his story. You cannot be in someone's shoes without walking their path.
I was being sarcastic. Just poking fun at the Ravel supporters here. Personally, I think he's a piece of shit but if hes actually changed and learned from his mistakes then best of luck to the guy. But lets not just excuse away his mistakes because he was young. Hes fortunate that hes extremely talented otherwise he wouldnt keep getting chances if he wasnt. I dont have much patience for people that take their blessing for granted and waste their potential. Theres nothing I hate more than laziness and complacency.

Morrison's controversial career has not stopped club taking chances on him. https://www.telegraph.co.uk/footbal...oversial-career-has-not-stopped-clubs-taking/ As previously stated, I really hope he's grown out of the things that hindered his career previously and that he's dedicated to making the best of this opportunity.
Wonder what that would equate to in current market (was a very big figure 17 years ago)? Oiiiii... leave the white suit alone, I’ve still got in my wardrobe! https://t.co/V8u3eZPggQ— Rio Ferdinand (@rioferdy5) July 22, 2019
