The following season, 09-10 is when he missed plenty of time due to injury. He was out for a time during the 08-09 season but he still played a significant portion of the games that season

Since Cristiano Ronaldo left Man United in 2009, five players have worn the No 7 shirt... but they have only scored 15 league goals between them in 10 years https://t.co/nGPSdEBrW4 pic.twitter.com/0FukwBTWTB— Mail Sport (@MailSport) June 11, 2019 More proof, if any was required at this point, that the 7 jersey needs to be vacated for a while until someone comes in at the club and proves himself during his time there, to be worthy of it.
Ander? That would be interesting if he got moved again in this window. Can anyone think of a player sold twice in the same window?
Herrera was not sold, his contract ran down and was assumed to have been signed by PSG. A report now is claiming that no agreement with PSG has been reached still to this day and Atleti are making a move. Remains to be seen and I'd venture he will probably be formally announced by PSG around July 1st or so.
That was the assumption, but nothing has been made official yet (again with my guess that despite being released nothing will happen before July 1st). Below is the report: have no idea as to the credibility of that publication but they're claiming in short that after a verbal agreement had been reached, Herrera might be having second thoughts because of concern over playing time (which is odd, because it stands to reason he must have been aware of this prior to agreeing anything with them). There is said to be concerned with the fact that Henriquez, the previous DoF who started the negotiations, is now gone and things might change with Leonardo. Hence the possible Atleti link (with Simeone said to be a fan of his, plus with him seen as a replacement for Rodri, who is believed to be on the move). https://parisunited.fr/nos-informations/herrera-en-plein-questionnement/

A season overlooked and forgotten amongst the plethora of 50+ goal seasons Ryan giggs said this was his best Manchester United season much better than 2007/08 https://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/f...s-better-two-seasons-ago-says-Ryan-Giggs.html I never understood this until you actually go through the match footage performance by performance and it is the only season where he was the complete player The defensive workrate, the dribbling runs, team play, technical ability and end product for a player who was essentially a wide midfielder, attacking midfielder and on occasion second striker Astonishingly a 21 year old for most of this season He was here a dribbling threat as devastating as prime R9(96-98) with the play making end product of Luis Figo(98-01) Which is why SAF said he was in this season at the same level as Diego Maradona and Pele It took a while to do the editing and includes footage from all the 57 games he played in 2006/07 for Manchester United and Portugal
It's sad to see that Nani has let himself go a bit in recent years 😳#MUFC #Nani pic.twitter.com/gkSxDNsFxV— GiveMeSport Football (@GMS__Football) June 25, 2019 Something at least that Nani has managed to perfectly copy Ron in. Aesthetically at least, that might be the best he's ever looked (although he's always been pretty ripped).
