Scholes has really tarnished how I thought of him. He was one of my favorite players to watch and I loved how he kept his mouth shut and when about his business. But ******** has he been a whiny little bitch since he retired.
He speaks from heart and no one can be correct/right every time and more of his moaning comes seeing how low we have fallen.
Thankfully I am still somehow able to separate Scholes, the player, from Scholes, the bitter ********. Wish him the best but don't expect a whole lot to come of this, tbh. He strikes me as someone who was too gifted to understand how it is to be a shit professional.
Love Scholesy the player. Everything after that is a no from me. I almost want him to be successful enough to make it to the prem and then get a team relegated. Almost.
How the class of 92 fared in management. https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/46944388 A very mixed bag without a doubt. Still wished GNev would have given it another go with an English team as I still feel he could do well in the correct circumstances.
How Angel Di Maria's dream move to Manchester United turned into his own personal hell 🔥😈🔥 pic.twitter.com/E2icGy8GbF— GOAL (@goal) February 12, 2019 I get that off the pitch issues did not help him in his time at United (his relationship with van Gaal, his home getting broken into etc..). But at the same time, it's pretty obvious he didn't really want to be at United either. And it became clearer and clearer, as evidenced by his body language on the pitch when he did actually play. He couldn't wait to get away from Manchester and made no bones about it either. When it's all said and done, him leaving worked out well for all parties concerned...
Van Gaal did him no favors in his time at the club, but I've never missed him once he was gone. He never had the makeup of a United player mentally.
He has been playing a similar role for PSG. Now that Neymar and Cavani are injure d, he will play wide again.
Love those words from Rio (from his Instagram page) as he gets ready for today's game: "On my way to OT for tonight & it’s the 1st time in a few yrs I’m going up the motorway not feeling depressed about the goings on at the club both on & off the pitch. Searching for little glimmers of positives to talk about in the studio. Rather than just dissecting performance (which I much prefer), I’m dissecting that & everything else that is wrong with the football club. Ole (and Mick Phelan) were brought in to steady the ship for someone else to come in and take the club forward. But have come in and taken an opportunity & ran with it! They know the club inside out and have the history of the club at the forefront of their thinking every step of the way. What a difference in the atmosphere around our club - a total change, a facelift so to speak. The players have their swagger back, confidence is swarming the place but also as important, Ole has the staff smiling again. What a turnaround. The job is far from done but the club now seems to have gotten its mojo back, there is hope again. I’m looking forward to tonight’s game....just like the old days! PS...it’s all in the detail. A group of men walking into a stadium suited and booted doesn’t guarantee a win but it sure does set the right tone for the football club. Come on @manchesterunited ❤️⚽️ #MUFC #UCL #PSG #Ole" He's spot on: the good feelings of supporting Manchester United are back. Simple as. https://www.instagram.com/p/BtyRuaHBnFx/

Without Eric Harrison, there would have been no Treble for United. https://www.manchestereveningnews.c...hester-united-eric-harrison-tributes-15828866 As big a compliment/tribute that can be given to Eric Harrison. He really did help shape United's backbone overseeing and developing the Class of 92.
It really is kind of sad that the 1st division in US soccer is still a retirement destination for washed up former superstars
