You're welcome, www.thesefootballtimes.co and www.timeontheball.net are 2 of my favorite sites when it comes about opinions and articles on the history of the game. Very enjoyable reads most of the time.

I've never come across this phrase: "...his tendency to hang on to the ball days' previously." What does it mean? Or is it just a typo where the author of the piece meant to write "his tendency to hang onto the ball"?
Why Falcao is back to his best after his 2yrs in England. www.bleacherreport.com/articles/2735051-radamel-falcao-and-why-hes-back-to-his-best-after-the-premier-league-lost-years Was genuinely excited when we got him (more so than ADM tbh), just a pity we got him too soon after his rehab from his knee injury. Simply was not ready for the Prem back then. Ligue Un is not the Prem, but it's great to see him back playing at top level again. He's started very fast this year and looks poised for one of his great scoring seasons, as he had in the past.

There he is! The Roy Keane we know... www.telegraph.co.uk/football/2017/10/03/footballers-worried-concussion-can-play-chess-instead-says-roy/
Roy Keane, undisputed United legend and undisputed all-time United XI member, and possibly the greatest holding midfielder in the history of the game, walked out on Ireland in 2002 due to "personal reasons".
Not surprised by those comments in the least and pretty much expected from someone who deliberately ended a fellow professional's career out of spite and retaliation...

The legend of Duncan Edwards lives on at United, long after his passing. www.espn.co.uk/football/club/manchester-united/360/blog/post/3224618/duncan-edwards-manchester-united-legend-lives-on Always maintained that he's one of the yesteryear stars I would have loved to see play or at least get to see more footage of. The way he was heralded as pretty much the complete player by many of his peers, is very intriguing and really speaks for itself at how special he appeared to be.
Think Ravel scored a nice one in Mexico this past weekend. Let's see if he can at least carve a career out for himself.
Unfortunately it was just a friendly against America. Hopefully he can build on it though. So crazy that players like him, Honda, Gignac, and even Ronaldinho at one point have found themselves playing in Mexico.

Sorry, just spotted this post. When I was at OT a couple of years ago I spoke to a wonderful old man -- a stadium tour guide -- by the name of Alan Lester (not sure about the spelling of the first or last name) who claimed, very plausibly, that he's been to every United match at OT since...1947. He claimed, very plausibly, to have watched Pele, Beckenbauer, Cruyff, Platini, Maradona and of course Best all in their prime. He told me that, without question, that Edwards was the greatest footballer he had ever seen. Homerism perhaps, but I doubt it.
