Has anyone been following Elder Scrolls Online? It looks really good. As good graphics as Skyrim, A new server system which adjusts and allocates server resources (combines "mini-servers" of low populated areas into one to boost population, and creates mini-servers to make overly populated areas less so.)

So far from what I have seen it looks very promising..

    -24 man raiding

-large scale PVP with catapults, the ability to break down fortress walls, etc

Zenimax has been tightlipped about details up until late, but now talent tress are coming out and they are giving out more information regarding mechanics.

The part I like the most is that they have totally done away with the proverbial "Trinity" class system of DPS, healing, tank.

There are 4 for main classes , each with 3 "trees", but so much flexibility exists it is almost overwhelming conceptually. anyone can wear any armor and use any weapon. tanks can heal or dps, casters can tank.. It really allows the player to come up with their own playstyle which I think potentially can be a huge hit.

    best information is here. www.tamrielfoundry.com

time for a new thread perhaps?

I've been using the Interesting NPC add on, and it is amazing. It adds dozens of new characters with professional voice acting, many new complicated quests, and new followers with hundreds of lines of dialogue. It's like a new game.

The only downside is that load times are now almost unbearable.

Ok, sorry for the thread necro, but I gotta say, this game does have some great replay value. I played this game for quite a few months as a straight up bash 'em over the head warrior and eventually quit because it felt too easy. I just recently picked it up again and decided to play through as a archery/sneak specialist and I feel reborn.

I feel so underpowered in these early levels but I'm loving it because I'm having to strategize a ton more just to stay alive. I do sense that once the archery perks kick in I'll be one-shotting a lot of my targets, but until then it's been a blast.

A remastered edition of Skyrim will be released this October. PC players will see graphical improvements for free. Console users will get more improvements, most importantly getting access to most (but not all) user mods that PC players already have access to. But they have to rebuy it.

I'm still playing. 1500 hours so far.

I wonder how this will affect Zenimax's attitude toward keeping the " immersion" crowd happy since many will probably opt back to Skyrim.. Hopefully this will allow them shift it towards a full on MMO.

If you mean the next entry in the Elder Scrolls series then it is not going to be out for a long time. It is not announced. They released Fallout 4 less than a year ago so it is going to be a long time.

I wasn't a fan of fallout 4. Only got to the bit with the robot detective valentine than sold it

In the meantime, The Elder Scrolls Online (first released back in 2014 for the PC and last year for other platforms) is pretty much currently carrying the Elder Scrolls torch for a while.

Being a buy-to-play MMO (meaning that you just pay for the game once upon purchase but there's no mandatory monthly fee afterward, although there's an optional monthly package that provides extra goodies and such), it plays slightly differently than past ES games and it's set centuries beforehand. Still, it's pretty fun and the graphics are gorgeous. :)

Judging from the Internet's reaction to Fallout 4, it was a dissapointment. I think Bethesda will have to step it up in many areas. Kind of glad Fallout 4 came before the Elder Scrolls since they can take that feedback and make the game better. I think they need to use a new engine because the one the Gamebryo engine they are using is dated and showing its age. The dialogue system was mistake. The graphics were subpar. The sidequests were boring and far too few of them. RPG mechanics were stripped out of the game. I think they went backward on a lot of stuff from Skyrim. Hopefully they sort it out for the Elder Scrolls 6.

The only thing we know is that they are working on it, as this was confirmed at E3 three months ago. We know nothing else, not even which part of Tamriel it is supposed to be in.

There are now some convincing rumors that the next Elder Scrolls will be set in Valenwood (home of the Bosmer).

Speaking of which, Update 12 (One Tamriel) arrived today for both the PC and Mac versions of the game, and will arrive on both the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions on Tuesday, October 18th.

The update brings the game even closer to the gamestyle of previous The Elder Scrolls games.

if you've played Skyrim on any of the previous consoles, it's like visiting a friend that had a makeover.. I will say on the Xbox One there is already a bug (which I will provide a video to best describe it) that I hope gets patched soon...

    haven't tried any mods yet....

Better Combat AI - makes high-level opponents harder to hit with ranged weapons
HD Armored Circlets - gives your companion (and anyone else) head protection without covering their face
Better Fast Travel - fast travel points for your houses and important points in cities
Smelting plus - melt down items for their base metal. Makes leveling your smithing skill much faster.
Resurrection - a spell to resurrect many dead characters.
A Quality World Map - adds roads to the map. A must have.
Dynamic fires - use flame and frost spells to start and stop fires at camps, in fireplaces, and so on
Complete Skyforge - just adds the missing smithing tools to the Skyforge
Realistic Piercing Arrows - if I hit a guy with 10 arrows, I want to see 10 arrows. Works with spells too.
When Vampires Attack - townsfolk run from vampires and dragons instead of fighting them and dying
Follower Map Markers - Beacon Version - track people on the map

Falskaar - a new island with a great story, new music, and professional voice acting. The island is a little fake looking, however.

Are any of them available for Xbox1 users? I didn't see them on the Bethesda list.

So far the biggest problem I've run into is getting time to play, the kids won't get off of it!

I finally have a computer good enough to play Skyrim: Special Edition. The graphics are nice - some of the mountain views were jaw dropping. And it seems error free - no more crashing and I got to hear a lot more NPC conversations that never took place in the old version but were clearly supposed to (not new content - it just finally works like it should have). But I consider Interesting NPC's a must have add-on and that won't work on SE. And more importantly I can't get it work with the new Beyond Skyrim: Bruma add-on that lets you wander the northern part of Cyrodiil. So back to the old version for me.

But now I'm playing Bruma, and I've got to say it is incredible. If you have played Oblivion you will get an enjoyable sense of déjà vu, but there is also lots of post Oblivion history, both subtle and plain, changing things in ways that make sense and revealing things hinted at before. There's lots of complexity, and near-professional voice acting (including the worst bard in all Tamriel) in an area roughly as big as a Skyrim hold.

If you play Skyrim on the PC, you must get this.

Bethesda has revealed they are working on Elder Scrolls VI. And almost nothing else. They did show a brief video of mountainous terrain and scrub-land, which probably means High Rock or Hammerfell.
