Good to hear, because Khashoggi is not the voice for reform and democracy in the Middle East that the media portrays him to be. If Khashoggi is the answer we aren't asking the right question. That said, we should still turn the screws on the Saudis.

Good point, and I'd add we're all really hoping that the Washington Post is independent of the whims of Jeff Bezos.

Every media report I've heard or read has described him as an advocate of moderate reforms and the farthest thing from a radical with regard to his criticisms of the Kingdom. In fact, that's been the point of many of those reports, ie., why go to such lengths to murder someone with such moderate views?

I can only think that they're trying to get into his head that he's really a tough guy.

What? Who? The New Yorker ran a story earlier this year that discussed how the Trump Administration has broken with Obama's Middle East policies by having a no-criticism approach to Israel and Saudi Arabia. I didn't think there was any doubt that Trump gives those countries a great deal of leeway.

Nobody is paining him out to be a martyr. Even the assholes at Fox News don't deserve to be murdered and have their bodies hacked up to bits and fed to the wolves.

Are there conservatives that are supporting the president's assertion that "false accusations" equate a 30-year-old sexual assault claim with a three-week-old murder with witnesses and audio recordings?

I just want to know how much BS you're willing to eat in your cult of personailty.

    All that is offered them.
They grow up believing that male authoritarian father figures can do no wrong and Trump represents the apex of that belief.

To be fair to the Saudis, they apparently had the decency to hack up his body only after they murdered him.

Here is a good article from The Spectator about who Khashoggi really was. And it also touches on some of the possible motives the Saudi Royals had for killing him:

If this is the case then Im guessing he secreted files to someone or on some computer.

And f#ck you, Saudi Arabian leaders, for your role in 9/11 and Yemen now. I won't forget it. I'd love to see you pancaked under one of those horrific modern skyscrapers.

    You would think so.

But why wait 17 years if OBL is the reason?

Doesn't sound like that was the case... at least not according to the Turks.

Yeah I heard he was jumped & Chainsaw Massacred pretty soon after entering.

Imagine the giant vats of acid with springboards in S.A. where they keep the remains of the real critics.
