I think people are misreading the xmas part as being from him and not a tweet from a teenage girl he replied to.
the first thing these guys need to do is shut down the social networking when they leave. I don't see a whole lot of good that can come out of being out there like that.
Maybe this isn't the thread for this, but I must say, your twitter account is excellent. I find myself agreeing with 90% of the non-Agudelo related stuff that you say. For everyone reading this, check out his tweets. They are usually terrific.
The Mirror/Sunday People says Yedlin has been granted a WP (presumably on appeal). http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/usa-defender-deandre-yedlin-granted-4847485 I'd like to see confirmation of this from a better news source, though it is interesting news, if true.
The answer to that question is always yes. No matter who. No matter the circumstance. Yes. Welcome to the club.
I was already too old for MySpace and FaceBook. Never got involved. Maybe I'm just a curmudgeon. I see people spending all their free time with Kindles and tablets, while I still hold paper books. Sigh.
I don't go on Facespace because my mom and her friends are on there. Social media has not been just a kid's thing for a few years now.
The worst is when these fools won't put down their damn phones while clogging up traffic on the roads. The addiction to social media is one thing, clogging up the roads and making them unsafe however is another. People are becoming oblivious to their surroundings. People can't even cross a crosswalk without checking facebook or twitter. Interesting as when I'm in Central/Eastern Europe, it's quire rare to see it. People sit down and talk, have coffee without the electronics. Parks are packed with kids just playing. Teens actually just hang out, don't see groups all screwing around with their own phones/tablets like we do here. Reminds me of growing up in the 80's and 90's. This addiction to technology will ruin a generation, if not more.
Sadly, it all starts here and spreads everywhere else. I can see Eastern Europe being just like that in a decade or less. Here, I see more and more people driving while keeping an eye on their tablet or smartphone or whatever they have. In what respects soccer/sports, frankly players should keep away. They're never going to get anything valuable from it. Only fawning from some fans, and rancor from others. What good can come from either?
As a big NBA fan, I see some who use twitter carelessly and others wisely. I have no problem with the odd tweet, retweeting fan support, saying great game or pumping up the fanbase. It's when players get in back and forths with fans or start tweeting too much personal stuff that it becomes a problem. A guy like Steph Curry on twitter is fine. JR Smith, a whole other issue.
I'm actually pretty glad there is a venue for players to speak directly and publicly with fans. They're going to come off as idiots sometimes but at least it's a real interaction.
Yedlin scored a goal during his first training session at the expense of none other than Kyle Walker https://amp.twimg.com/v/81150fc9-66c9-4684-a7c0-b86064760ac8 not sure if this was posted yet
Even more Kyle Walker ownage at around the 1:30 mark http://www.tottenhamhotspur.com/spurs-tv/features/today-at-training(9)/
