Frankly this team should miss the playoffs. Team Needs: #10/CAM Wing attacker opposite #7 a second D-mid right back second center back MLS starting keeper
Make two or three halftime subs. Doesn't matter the tactics. At some point, someone has to be embarrassed by a first-half effort like that. Pull Moreno (for Rodriguez?), pull a defender, and let them know exactly why.
Who’s your first? Headshot McCussion is literally one game away from retirement. Brillant is bad. Pines just ain’t ready. This past month has shown where our faults start.
Added to your post: Manager* General manager President/CEO Ownership group *Still kills me to say it. I love Ben as a brother . . .
Either that or he's come to the realization that he won't get out of DC to a better team/contract, if he doesn't do something fast.
It seemed like Olsen gambled and pushed the flank defenders high up the field in the first half. I assume that it was an attempt to create more offense. Instead, the flank defenders were isolated too far upfield and the move did not result in more offensive opportunities. Instead, it left way too much room out wide and destroyed our defensive shape. Overall, the defense struggled in the first half when it mattered most. Again, to be fair they have put in a lot of minutes this week.
Kamara has looked dangerous. Too bad that it seems that we had to lose Stieber to get him. Ironically, now that we have a real target striker, he could use some good flank service from a player like Stieber. I have enjoyed Rooney and the excitement and professionalism that he has brought. Unfortunately, he will he will be gone in a few months. Assuming that we keep Kamara, now we will need to find a player able to send in crosses like a Stieber.
Just watched the replay and man I don’t know how I missed that during the game. Paul who is probably one of the more emotional guys on the team looked void of all emotion.
Went to Philly yesterday with the ultrabus, I hadn't been there in 5 years, so it was nice to be back at Talen Energy Stadium - which is much nicer than how I remembered it - other than for the score of course. Ragarding the match, there was no game, Philly too strong, way superior, every ther pass had precision and intention, they went through our defense like a knife in the butter. A top team for MLS, exactly like the standing say. It will be interesting to see Philly-Atlanta next saturday. At the end of the game, part of our sector singing "Olsen out", and creating some tension with people who did not think the same way.
