With a 75 goals passive, Cincinnati is the team that gave away most goals in a single MLS season ever. The previous record belonged to Orlando (74) last season. Hopefully Cinci will give away some more on sunday...
I thought it was a well played game by DCU. Rodriguez showed a lot of heart today - played his ass off. All the midfielders and defenders played well. Unfortunately both Wayne and Paul had off games. If either or both had been in form we probably would have had a goal or two. Of course RB were denied a couple by Hamid and Brilliant. Lalas called the game a stinker. I disagree - it was an intense match that should have but didn't produce some goals.
I agree with you, and had the same thought when he said that. That was a high intensity, entertaining game. I’ve seen much worse.
If that fingertip wonder save by Hamid is a "stinker", I'll take "stinky" every day. That was a physical match between two teams not willing to give an inch.
It was high intensity, but I didn't find it very entertaining. I did like the fight of our team. I hope to see Kamara next Sunday.
One little thing I noticed that I liked was the first pass after we won a ball in our own end (other than long clearances) was usually to a teammate. It's an important thing if you're trying to defend a result that you don't give it straight back.
I noticed this, too. Also, the possession numbers aren't quite as bad as I thought they were - 53.2% for NY vs 46.8% for DCU. From watching the game, I thought NY had the ball a lot more than that.
As for those of you who traveled to Red Bull any chemical exposures, fungal infections, breathe any harmful aerosols?
I don't get to watch Fox Sports games so maybe they mentioned this in the broadcast but I believe that the United has now tied the MLS record for consecutive shutouts. DC has not given up a goal since Canouse replaced Jara at RB.
Yep. I'll be wearing my Olsen #14 authentic jersey for the rest of the season. I might switch over to my Boswell #32 jersey for the playoffs because of the magic power of number 32.
