20yrs ago today. That's when the magic of that season really started, as previously stated. Still had to go to bars to catch most United games. We all thought we were done for, especially with all the chances missed despite the crazy pressure we were putting Pool under. And then the final 3-4mins came: complete bedlam at the bar, it was incredible.
So many awesome, awesome memories that year. 2007-08 was incredible, but 99 just stands in a class well of its own: get goosebumps just thinking about it.

What a mess of a club Chelsea are. The falloiut from today's game should be very interesting. Sarri's authority has been completely usurped by Kepa's actions.
How the higher ups deal with this could have big repercussions also in terms of future managers coming at the club. The way things ended with Conte was already pretty bad and this will not help, depending on what happens next.

Like Glen Hoddle a lot, was a real shock when he had a heart attack right at the end of a tv show I occassionally watch. Has the thoughts of our ex-players Ince and Sav who were there.

Even just hands free CPR aka just chest compressions and airway control can save a life until responders arrive and take over. Everyone should learn. It isn't hard and it literally saves lives.

 

For those of you who have MUTV, as part of the Treble Twenty series, there are extended highlights from several matches from that fateful season. One of the matches currently on display is the first leg against Inter in the quarters.

It makes for fantastic viewing. Inter featured Simeone, Djorkaeff, Baggio and Pagliuaca and there was a cameo for Pirlo.

United's team I'm sure will be familiar to most, but featured Dwight Yorke at the absolute peak of his abilities. Keane, Scholes, Beckam and Giggs in midfield and Schmikes pulled off two stunners.

Worth your 20 minutes if you have MUTV.

 

20 minutes?! Wth else do they have to air? They should show the entire match.

 

I think most fans won't watch full match highlights outside of cup finals or derby matches. They do have full match replays that air on 'tv' but the on demand classic matches - especially those associated with treble 20 program - seem to be 20 minute highlights.

So they're opening up this incredible training facility in my hometown. The first of it's kind, to my knowledge, in the Bay Area. Going to be using a lot of the same tech employed by Leverkusen, Bayern, and Dortmund for skill development, speed, etc. The article goes into more detail about halfway in. I'm soooo pumped, especially if we end up coupling this with a professional soccer team.
