Yeah, it sounds like it gets worse after today. Our off season is already a massive failure and will only get worse.
Zidane stepping down at Madrid might liven things up on the manager and transfer fronts. Off the top of my head, Conte is the only big name manager “available”.
Good for Zidane. I know he loves the club, etc., but for all the shit Real and all clubs put managers through, it's good to see higher ups rejected.
One manger who wasn't fired from Madrid. Perez looks devastated. Sari is as good as gone if he is on their radar.
Also, in other news, Lampard is now the coach of Derby County. Really excited to see what he does as I think he is genuinely someone who can excel at management with the acumen he has.
Well, that's what's funny. During Zidane's stay (starting January 2016), the club essentially bought bits and pieces. No Galacticos whatsoever. January 2016: No buys 16/17: Morata (who is no longer there), Mayoral, Diaz; Asensio came back from loan 17/18: Theo Hernandez, Ceballos The club will be going through a massive rebuild, I feel. Yes, three CL cups in a row, but they finished 17 points out of 1st in the league. Average age of squad is 29 and getting older every day.
Benzema needs replaced, Ronaldo doesn't appear to be happy there anymore and they have a couple of mids who are probably looking to be starters now. I can see a very busy summer for them in the market and Zidane stepping down probably throws a huge wrench in their plans. Their moves could change the whole transfer market this summer and their manager shakeup could have repercussions for several tops clubs around Europe. I can see Conte being their number one target as there aren't many top tier managers readily available.
Shooting Blancs: The Chelsea Manager Thread I get he appeal of Sarri on the tactics side. I do. But as a man, he sounds like a backward f'ing arsehole.
He could be a Hannible Lector disciple for all I care as long as he brings us multiple titles both Domestic and European.
No way for me. I gave serious concerns with Sarri's past comments about the LGBTQ community. I'm not willing to sell our soul to win a title. It's 2018. Plus our clubs reputation isn't all that great when it comes to sensitivity among any minority group.
You'll have to look it up, right now I don't remember the specifics. It wasn't overly flattering. He also has a mean sexist streak something our club could also stand to stay away from. He's made some interesting comments to female journalists IIRC.
Also called Mancini pretty derogatory things. He's a 60+ year old man. Yes, he'll explain it away because "it's in the heat of the moment," but often, those are the times your true self is revealed. I get mad all the time, but nothing sexist, anti-gay, ever comes out.
I'll have to look after work. I don't care if he's an arshole but racism, sexism and any type of discrimination don't have a place at Chelsea.

Would love it. I' not concerned about his lack of experience but think his knowledge of the club his link to the fans and the fact that he's a fan could pay massive dividends. He has has a strong relationship with the board as he's an ambassador. Couple all this with what he's been saying, yeah, he's perfect.
When are we going to receive a statement from the club? The next thing that comes out has to be either they are extending Conte's contract or he's departing. Really those are the only two options I see. Tic toc
