Nothing groundbreaking. http://www.squawka.com/news/antonio...ent-he-decided-on-3-4-3-chelsea-switch/820413
Conte has won Manager of the Month a record third time in a row - Oct, Nov, and Dec. But can he do it on a clear day at White Hart Lane?
Saw this elsewhere. All I can say is remarkable: WWWWWWWWWDLWWDWWWWLWWWWWWWWWWWWDWDWWWWWWWLWWWWWWWWWWDLLWWWWWWWWWWWWWLWW Conte's last 71 League games 84.5% win ratio.
There's no monthly award in Italy, but the 'Panchina d'Oro' (the Golden Bench) is awarded every year after the season has concluded. Only managers are allowed to vote. Antonio Conte the only manager to ever win it three times, and consecutively, no less.
Oh man... We signed him in 1991, when he was just 21 years-old. I started supporting Juve in 1992. Seeing pictures of him this young... brings back some memories.
So true. The oldest he ever looked was when he was in the process of getting his hair transplants, in the middle of his playing career. Everybody joked about it then, but damn... he ended up having the last laugh because it was money well spent.
Absolutely was. That picture was from 1991 (26 years ago) and he looks almost exactly the same. Too damn funny!
Terrific write-up from Matt Gault for These Football Times and The Guardian: https://www.theguardian.com/footbal...nte-trapattoni-lippi-ancelotti-sacchi-chelsea Quite a long read, but well worth the time. It's all the more impressive that out of all of these world class managers, Conte is the first to ever win the Panchina d'Oro three times. And he's still only 47 years-old. Who knows what he will achieve by the end of his career, assuming he doesn't burnout prematurely, given the intensity of his personality.
His downfall at Chelsea will be as brilliant as his rise I feel.. too strong of a character. I hope he lasts quite a while with us but I definitely don't see things ending amicably, when they do end.
I always pictured Conte riding Stamford the Lion off into the sunset whilst holding four freshly won trophies and eating a giant bowl of orrechiette.
Conte to Inter? This has to be some sick joke, right? http://www.football-italia.net/99033/report-conte-agrees-inter-deal
Yeah. I hope it is anyways. Rumors in Italy are saying he's home sick. Nothing makes you sick of home though like managing Inter....
I think this is all clickbait taken from his reaction to the Ranieri sacking where he said something like "One year you win the league and the next...who knows.."
I find the rumors hilarious. I'm sure he'll end up back in Italy at some point, but he's been gold in England. 4. Years and my guess he's back. I'd avoid Inter like the plague though.
