Agree. But Bayern in EL, huge blow for Germany. DFL should find a way or smth to take points from Hannover. Punish them for bad accounting and not paying their taxes.
That's outrageous. You continue to be an embarrassment to the Bayern and Germany sub-forums with every post.
Sorry for embarrasing you guys everywhere, i've been really bad. And i am also making people think bad about Lahm. But i've been clean for a week now.
With Schalke advancing and Roma and Milan out already, it does look pretty good for next season as well, even if we only send BVB, 96 and Mainz, especially if Bayern win against Inter next week (which I fully expect them to do... 4-5 losses in a row? the universe would explode. Or at least Hoeneß's head ;-) )
Seriously, at Bayern threads it's ok but don't go out in UEFA or Italian forums to troll like this. Not very sportsmanlike from a fan.
Yeah, you are right. Look me writing a nice post for a change. https://www.bigsoccer.com/forum/showpost.php?p=22954148&postcount=206 Yeeey!
Germany's 10th team in the league beats Spain's 3rd. 2nd place in UEFA coefficients is within reach - despite the Bundesliga not being a top-heavy league.
That happens in play-off competitions. Schalke was in-form and the players could show their potential.
Bayern playing in the EL could actually benefit us more than in the CL. They would not gain the bonus points for getting out of the group stage, but since wins and draws award the same amount of points and the competition is significantly weaker, they should be able to accumulate quite a lot of points. And they could win the whole thing which may not be as prestigious as winning the CL, but would be a great start to the Bundesliga dominance the coming years (well, ok, I'm being... optimistic here). As for Mainz, it depends on how the team will look next year. Will Risse, Fuchs, Holtby stay in Mainz? If not and since Schürrle is already out, it might be hard to get good replacements. Though one should never underestimate Heidel's magic transfer skills.
Half the points you can get in EL you get in CL just for making it out of the group stage, so no they're not exactly the same.
Looks like Schalke might be the only German team of the 16 remaining in the quarters of both rounds and I don't really expect them to go further. Not that impressive tbh...
With what is going on in Gelsenirchen atm I guess this season is over for us... Maybe Leverkusen can do something, but thats unlikely.
Yea its a really poor showing this year, especially after last season. At least Italy have been having an equally awful season in Europe.
Frustrating, isn't it? Bayern and Leverkusen clearly deserve(d) to advance. I think the same can be said of Dortmund. Unlucky season for the Bundesliga, I think.
