    Terrific work bro.

The best GKs are David De Gea and Ter Stegen, by far ... for me the spanish guy has been better.

I would remove Keylor Navas ... in fact, I wouldn't add any player from Real Madrid.

The same ... I would remove Sergio Ramos and Leo Bonucci as well. In my opinion, Nacho has been the best defender of Real Madrid.

Typing error: Kolarov - AS Roma

I would add Alex Sandro ... he has been one of the best full-backs this season ... Semedo has played few games but I agree his performances has been very good. On the other hand, I would remove Dani Alves.

I would placed Antonio Valencia and César Azpilicueta above David Alaba.

For me, the best defensive midfielders have been N'Golo Kantè and Nemanja Matic ... they provide his team so much equilibrium and his performances have been the highest.

To be honest, I think this position/role has been the weakest. All of these players have been performed low.

Maybe, Pogba has been the player with the highest peak of this position.

I recommend another position list named "mediapuntas" and I would add there to De Bruyne, Coutinho, James, Alli, Hamsik, Sterling, Salah, Sané, Draxler, Mané, Messi, Dybala and Müller.

I think Coutinho and Alli don't qualify to belogn to this list.

    Bale out.

Sánchez and CR7 out (maybe Griezmann).

Hazard has been better than Neymar and Dybala as well.

I don't know why you are ranking to CR7 in 8th place (and Kroos in 10th).

    I mean, I don't see CR7 even in top 20.

I consider De Bruyne, Lewandowski, Hazard and Paulo Dybala (the great absence) over Neymar and they together with Messi, the best 5 players of this season.

Is this your personal list or from some publication?

Anyway, I think the rankings are way off in some cases.
GK - Buffon & Donarrumma haven't been that good, certainly not top 10 good. Buffon has been injured and his replacement has probably been better.

CB - I believe Umtiti has been noticeably better than Pique for a start. Hummels has only played around half the games for some reason. Ramos has just not been good at all, and he isn't scoring his usual clutch goals to obscure that. Chiellini and Bonucci haven't been all that good really. From Serie A I'd say Koulibaly, Skriniar and Benatia have been better. Alderweireld has been injured for 2/3rds of the season so far, and in any case Vertonghen was better.

FB - The choices here look alright, but Sergi Roberto is benching Semedo and outperforming him, so he can't be ranked behind him. Alaba hasn't played much this season and Kimmich has been class, their rankings don't reflect that.

DM - Khedira has been rubbish. I haven't watched much of Atletico, but has Gabi been that good?

CM - So much wrong with these choices IMO, for a start Kroos is really having a bad season, just visit the Madrid forum or the Germany NT forum. Rakitic has had a resurrection, Modric I feel is one of very few bright spots for Madrid this season, so his inclusion is fair. Vidal is Vidal and Paulinho has surprised. For the rest, you might have to consider less glamorous options.

AM - Iniesta? He is being rested a lot and has had his injuries too. Isco's level has dipped, perhaps he could still be in the list though, Dele Alli has also had a dip in form this season. No love for Fekir and Thauvin?

W - Bale? Willian and Draxler are subs. Di Maria? Maybe. Mane has been off form this season. Mertens hasn't been a winger in quite a while now and operates centrally.

FW - Cristiano, Alexis and Rashford have no business here. Griezmann has picked up his form a little but I doubt it's enough to have him this high.

CF - Morata shouldn't be there. I prefer Falcao or even the young Werner.

Is this in order? Some seem weird

No way Alaba was better than Kimmich or Semedo better than Sergio Roberto so far

Thiago missed about half of the season

De Gea is clearly better than Ederson and Courtois
    David Silva over Alli

Bonucci doesn't have a good season from what I've heard, but I don't follow ACM that much tbh

Kroos 10. in 17/18? Eh.... tell that to RM supporters

EdHardy's list looks good. Not sure about Thauvin.

I will give you just top 20 in overal (rough overview):

    1. Messi
    2. Neymar
    3. De Bruyne
    4. Ter Stegen
    5. Busquets
    6. David Silva
    7. De Gea
    8. Kane
    9. Oblak
    10. Otamendi
    11. Parejo
    12. Aguero
    13. Alba
    14. Dybala
    15. Luis Alberto
    16. Salah
    17. Coutinho
    18. Fekir
    19. Insigne
    20. James

Honorable mentions (players i would like to highlight):
Alejandro Gomez, Immobile, Sergej Milinković-Savić, Thauvin, Malcom, Fernandinho, Philipp Max, Bailey, Sabitzer, Naby Keita, Kondogbia, Guedes, Iago Aspas, Castillejo, Doucoure, Marcos Alonso, Mooy, Hakim Ziyech,. and my man, Justin Kluivert :D..

And i wouldn't agree Kroos has been terrible this season, wouldn't agree at all. Obviously fans of Real Madrid will tell you he has been terrible, would you expect anything different in current situation? That's irrelevant atm.. plus Kroos' qualities are not as fancy as qualities of other players like Isco, Modrić, Ronaldo, so even if Real was good and he was amazing, majority of fans wouldn't recognize his performance.
I think Kroos has been solid, not at the top of his game, but he is definitely not someone who can be blamed for the way season is unfolding for Real Madrid.

Wouldn't agree actually. I just don't buy this Salah-hype that much at all. He is playing in team that it's perfectly suited to him (it's not necessarly bad thing, keep up with me a bit more),
He is playing in a team that doesn't care about defending (important to highlight!!!), but about outscoring opponents so it means that system like that will heavily benefit to attackers. Btw, in epl, he is the player with most clear cut chances misses. He missed 17 of them, the second worst is Morata (who is heavily criticized despite goind through slight injuries as well) with 14.

Aguero ain't no saint, he missed many of them as well, but still better than Salah, so don't even start with "Aguero plays with City" argument because Salah has had more tap ins created for him than Aguero. Obviously he scored some great goals and had some memorable performances (hence the 16th place on the list), but in overal i don't see Salah superior to Aguero this season at all.
Aguero also creates big chances at higher rate.

Also if we go look at their contribution outside attacking, Aguero is whole level above Salah who literally does nothing on the defensive end, which can't be said for Aguero who stepped up a bit in that segment since arrival of Pep. I've seen a lot of both,..and Salah, along side being lucky at times, has had a really convenient situation of not getting injured and being surronded with the system that doesn't care about defense. Put this, in form, Salah in United under Mourinho and at this point he would barely got you 10 goals in league, if that at all. Place Martial in Liverpool under Klopp and he will get you 15 by this time.

The context in situation like this matters, at least to me. From what i've seen Aguero has simply shown more class more often.

I usually have a far bit of input into this but missed this thread as super busy.

Messi has again been superb in Spain and clear #1 on my view, Suarez is looking much better this season and Ronaldo and Griezmann have had strong second half of the season.

In England its all about three players for me, Kane, De Bruyne and Salah, although its the latter for me who has been exceptional. I'm also a huge Aguero fan and he is just outside these three I think this season.

In Italy I am not as close to this as I have been in the past but Dybala seems back to his form of pre injury now and has been excellent this year.

Has there been a stand out player(s) in the Bundlesliga this year? I am not sure.

Neymar was looking very good in France before his injury and the definte stand out in the league.

Suarez hasnt had his scoring boots on in the UCL, which is a shame.

I don't think Kane stands much of a chance against KDB and Salah, now that he's injured. It's a shame, would be cool to have a genuine 3 horse race for the PotY.

I would argue that outside the top 3 of EPL is not Aguero, but David Silva, David De Gea, and Eriksen.

I guess as the Bundesliga clubs underperformed in Europe (except Bayern of course) there are no international level standout players this season from the other teams.

Best Bayern players were probably Hummels, Martinez, James, Müller, Lewandowski and Coman (a shame that he is injured for the major CL games). I also noticed that Boateng is getting to old form, which really delights me.

Dortmund displays a very inconsistent season not only as a team, but also the individual players, i guess Batshuayi and an inform Pulisic are the ones to watch, but also Reus convinced as a teamleader and deciding player in some matches.

Leipzigs top players last season were injured or lacking of form at the start of the season, but it seems like especially Keita and Werner could be th main players in an Euro League run, i am also surprised of the development of centre-back Upamecano. Gulacsi, Orban, Bruma, Kampl and Sabitzer are having a good season, but not international class, i guess.

There are many other teams battling for the CL spots in the Bundesliga, the standout players have been (to this point):

Schalke 04: Fährmann, Naldo (very strong, might be a good call for the World Cup), Goretzka (if not injured)

Bayer Leverkusen: L. Bender, Bailey (is missing his form at the moment), Brandt

    Hoffenheim: Gnabry

    Mönchengladbach: Ginter, Hazard

    Frankfurt: Boateng, Wolf, Rebic

Frankfurt is the most surprising team tis season in the Bundesliga. They are playing a very modern football, which is added with team spirit and a very aggressive (positive wise) mentality. I guess that`s mostly because of their coach (former Bayern player) Niko Kovac, who inspired this young team. If he leaves, it might be that they are struggling and i guess that some of the top players will not be able to prove their form.

From other teams: Kruse (Werder Bremen), Petersen (Freiburg), Pavard (Stuttgart), Diallo (Mainz), Gregoritsch (Augsburg), Finnbogason (Augsburg), Max (Augsburg), Sané (Hannover), Bebou (Hannover), Casteels (Wolfsburg).

But after all i would say except Lewandowski and Hummels there are no Bundesliga players competing for the Best Player of the Year award.

Completely agree re Eriksen, De Gea and Silva...Silva missed a lot of January but has been excellent, one of the top PL players of the last 7 or 8 years esility in my opinion, a very classy player.

Voting for PFA award probaly not far off done anyway and for FWA version, this is at the end of the season where Spurs could be in the cup final so you never know. Personally I would find it hard not to give to Salah.

I've argued that he deserves contention for EPL all-time XI, but people are so bound by nostalgia that they would simply not consider him against the likes of Vieira, Keane, Scholes, Lampard, and Gerrard, which is ridiculous. I'm not saying he should be in the XI (still think he's behind those 5 names,) just that he deserves to be on the shortlist, at this point.
