Not sure where the stat is coming from, but several outlets claim he lost the ball 18 times. I dont recall that many. I wonder if they are counting shots missed as giveaways? I remember maybe 7 or 8 times including attempts at dribbling and that one knockdown to nobody, but if they are counting aerial duels that's a bit rough.

Lukaku can play with anyone - Mourinho www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/man-utd-fixtures-mourinho-lukaku-13498504
I think it's a huge plus that Lukaku has joined a team that have more than a few fellow Francophones - Pogba, Fellaini, Bailly, just to name a few. Eases the transition to a new team, even if he never left England.
It wasn't his best performance, but Lukaku got the job done. Imagine what he'll be capable of once he hits the next gear on his touch and passing. I hope Ibra can start working him soon in training on other aspects of Romelu's game other than finishing.
Thierry Henry and Alan Pardew breakdown Lukaku's performance against Swansea. www.skysports.com/football/news/11667/10996432/alan-pardew-and-thierry-henry-analyse-romelu-lukakus-performance-against-swansea
Utter pish that takes no account of Mourinho using him as a target and for his holdup play. He is effectively a foil for the likes of Rashford to get beyond and once others get around him he does make the required moves in and around the box. When the opportunity presents itself during a fast transition then he will make runs in behind. The expectation that he should spend 90 minutes constantly running around is ridiculous. They are just looking for anything to whine about because they cannot question his immediate impact or goals. Where are the Morata and Lacazette articles?
