Skysports confirms that Inter want Lukaku (and Victor Moses). https://www.skysports.com/football/...kaku-and-victor-moses-on-inter-milan-wishlist La Gazetto Dello Sporte are suggesting that Inter are ready to make an offer of 30mil, plus Perisic for Lukaku: we'll pass, that's a hard no, cash only unless they're ready to include Skriniar in the deal (which obviously they won't...) .
Why Lukaku is ready to leave United. https://www.manchestereveningnews.c...er-news/man-utd-transfer-news-lukaku-16317571
Ed rightfully passed on Perisic last year, why would they offer him to us now? I know Inter don’t have money but if we don’t get minimum £60 for him we should just keep him.
Contrary to what has been reported in some quarters. Colleague @BBC_Mani asked Antonio Conte about Lukaku: “It’s difficult to talk about this now….we have a plan to improve the teamIt’s not right that he’s had talks with Inter, that’s for the sporting director to deal with.”— Simon Stone (@sistoney67) May 31, 2019
Romelu Lukaku: “I have a contract with Man Utd. I’ll speak to them and my agent to make the best decision. I'm going to enjoy my holidays with my family now. I know what I’ll do, but won’t say it. We’ll see. Do I expect a busy summer? Yes.” (Source: @HLNinEngeland) pic.twitter.com/Eo6yEMyPCa— Transfer News Live (@DeadlineDayLive) June 12, 2019
the article https://www.skysports.com/football/...-calls-for-manchester-united-to-decide-future if he wants to go just say so. not bothered if he does. especially if we can leverage the sale as a player trade or cash outright
In another interview he recently he talked about how much he loves Italy and called Conte the best manager in the world. The come and get me plea is pretty clear. Too bad Inter don't have the cash.
Icardi just doesn't fit under Ole. He's a guy that operates best in and around the box similar to Ruud. We don't play a style with enough possession or enough service for him to work. He doesn't have the transition ability needed for Oles system.
Apparently Lukaku also says hes made his decision but out of respect for United he isn't saying it publicly...which is basically saying publicly that he wants to leave. Im all for letting him go. Recoup some of his cost and spend it on Haller.
If Lukaku leaves then we need another CF, still dont trust Rashford to deliver and lead line all of next season...
Conte wants Lukaku and Lukaku wants Inter, it really should not be too difficult for them to make an effort in making this happen. They reportedly offered 30mil, plus Perisic. If they're so eager to let him go, they surely can find a suitor who will pay cash for him. On top of that, Nainggolan and Icardi of course are players we know are on the blocks as well. Really shouldn't be too hard for them to raise the funds to secure a move for Lukaku. United were said at one point to want 80mil for him, but if Inter can come up with 60, that should be enough to close the deal. Leaves us more than enough to get a solid replacement in either Haller or Werner.
Werner is going to end up at Bayern one way or another. Either they'll pay up for him this summer or he'll stay at RB and go there next season for free. Haller is so perfect for Ole's system it just makes too much sense for us to move for him.
Would be absolutely fine with us getting Haller as a Lukaku replacement. I can see him being a good fit to the league from a physical point of view potentially, plus from what I've seen, like his technical ability, hold up play, unselfishness and mobility for a guy his size. Can see him complimenting Rashford or Martial, either in a front 2 or even 3. My biggest worry is that it wouldn't come as a surprise if the club somehow decided not to replace him this summer, which would be a huge mistake as far as I'm concerned.
Not replacing him isnt even an option. We only have one striker as it is. Rash and Martial are more wing forwards.
I hope Ole and the club sees it that way as well. After all, it's not like we haven't seen United make a bunch of dopey moves when it comes to transfers, particularly in the last 10yrs...
all this is moot anyway. even if Lukaku stays we need another forward. neither Rashford nor Lukaku have shown the ability to be consistent over a season. it might not be the highest priority but the fact remains
Unpopular opinion but I hope he stays for a few reasons; - with signings we might finally get some players who can cross and some width to give him service (esp from our right-hand side where he is often forced to drift into because it is vacated) - I have no faith the club could extract a suitable fee for him - I have little faith the club would sign a suitable replacement - Rashford aside we have no #9s (it is too early to depend on Mason, maybe let Lukaku go next year if Greenwood has a break-through year)
There is talk that Lukaku has accepted to take a pay cut to join Inter (going from the €11mil he's earning at United to around 7-8mil) and that he's already agreed personal terms with them. Both Inter and United are yet to reach an agreement though, so this is nowhere near done yet.
Inter has to fork 60-70 millionn or get f off but since we have been amateur at dealing, Ed will close the deal with 40-50million ..
Martinez giving his opinion, for whatever reason. When the national manager gets involved. Roberto Martínez to @hlnsport: “It’s clear that Romelu Lukaku needs to leave Man United. It would be good for both parties. It’s now up to Rom to find the right club.”Inter still sniffing around, but not willing to pay £75m. #mufc pic.twitter.com/eC6SV9z9gi— Kristof Terreur (@kristofterreur) June 17, 2019
