The pressure will be on Isco now. He can't continue his inconsistency now when he got the manager he declared understood him.

This is going to be am interesting season. No doubt.

That's if Flo even gives a new, young, realtively unproven, and not Zidane coach license to make the starting lineup selection.

With Flo feeling high on himself after putting together a CL three peat squad we might be looking at formations like:

    B---B---C

    Vinicious--Kroos---James

    or

    Benz---Lewa

    Ronaldo---Neymar---Bale

    Isco

Yea, Balague said Julian has links to Mendes and was ready to take over at Wolves when new owners came in just before he was offered the Spanish NT job. Maybe Mendes took him to Porto earlier.

Seems like he is good at handling the youths.

    Good choice. Welcome coach.

Isco finally will have his guaranteed starter role here. Let's see how he manages it. His appointment should be a good news for all young players here imo.

I see only Cristiano surviving out of three. Bale is definitely gone. Even if Benz stays, his role will be severely diminished.

Nonetheless, exciting time ahead for us.

He started a lion share of minutes and has been inconsistent with them. Let's not act like he has been some mistreated reserve player.

Good choice honestly. There was no clear cut winner and the options were really limited.

Best of luck to him, i hope he does well with us.

Let's not act like he's some average player either. The guy can probably walk into any starting lineup in the world.

Good choice. Especially considering the options. I wanted somebody with some experience and not a total newbie.

Funny how no newspapers or twitterers who present "inside" info all the time had a clue about this. Just goes to show these rags don't know shit and are as in the dark as the rest of us just making up BS. Their inside info shouldn't be trusted to form opinions.

I wouldn't be so sure Julen will come in and make us play like La Roja. He will cater his system to our personnel probably. Anyway, its a good choice. The club have chosen sensibly.

Not good timing for La Roja that's for sure.

He is inconsistent. One day he is a world beater, the next he is terrible... the hype around him is mainly due to people who obsess over close ball control.

I wonder if it will cause us trouble with the Spanish FA. They seem very surprised by the choice and i am pretty sure they don't like the timing of the announcement.

I don't think i have mentioned anywhere such thing. Isco has started on most of our important matches under zizou. But he didn't have a confirmed spot like other regulars. Which will change this season. I was referring to that.

If there was any doubt about Bale leaving this should put an end to it. He is toast.

Was it okay for them when they were coached by an absolute Real Madrid hater in Aragones?

Hollllyyyy shieeett. I found out in the middle of a conference I'm attending for work and was shocked. This came out of nowhere. I think this is a great choice considering the options available. Knows the club and the history.

His Messi comments are problematic but whatever lol.
    I completely agree.

I think he's the right kind of coach for Odegaard too. Let's see how it goes in the pre-season. Won't be surprised if he stays like Asensio in 2016-17 kind of scenario and plays a bigger role than expected. Odegaard had 18 months on loan and maybe it's time we handle his future rather than letting him go to another random club.

Dude loves a team that can dominate the midfield and possession. I bet he joygasms when he sees he's gonna have: Isco, Modric, Kroos, Kovacic and Casemiro on his squad.

Oh...i forgot to mention we have Dani Ceballos. Lol

JL gets his dream team handed to him on a silver platter.

I'm actually starting to doubt that. Maybe he just had an off season but I expected, and have been expecting, much more. In the AM role, there are so many players at the moment of a similar age, and younger, doing so much more.

Maybe a CM role will suit him best.

This is exactly what I'm always pointing out here. He slows up the game and most of the time he is just not good enough .
Is he a joy to watch and do we love football when we look at him ? Yeah .
Is he close to De Bruyne's or James' level ? Nope.
I would rather see James coming back and sell Isco for a huge sum .

Isco is absolutely on DeBruyne's or James's level.

I'll be rooting for Spain to win the WC. We know every non-Madridista in Spain will be super critical of him unless he wins the cup now.
