well to suggest Jose was fired because he didn't do everything Roman wanted, or to suggest Grant does nothing but Roman's bidding, leads me to draw no other conclusion.

when we lose/draw most every 'big' game we play + lose to Barnsley + struggle v league minnows + look lost in a cup final...

i don't see the what's to discuss really. if he wins the CL he can stay til...august.

If we win the CL it will be by pure luck, not tactical skill. The only way I'd want Grant to stay his if he won both the BL and CL, because his tactics were totally ripped apart by Ramos. Imagine what others can do to him.

The Avram Grant song (to the tune of Yankee Doodle):

There was a tard named Avram Grant
    Who's buddy was really riiiiiiiiich
And got a world class manager fired
So he could be that Russian's b***tch!

Avram Graaant will win the cups
    Avram is our heeeroo!
But this man's tactics will cause our year's trophies
To be a grand total of zeerooo!

Now this old b*stard looked like a toad
    And preached attacking foootballl!
But when we lost to Spuds in the Carling Cup final
    He still preached attacking foootball!

Avram Graant will win the cups
    Avram is our herooo!!!
But this man's tactics will cause our year's trophies
To be a grand total of zerooo!

Then we have a cup tie away at Barnsley
At the Mecca that is Oakwell
And when we lost to this second division side
    He still preached attacking foootball!!!

Avram Grant will win the cups
    Avram is our herooo!!!
But this man's tactics will cause our year's trophies
To be a grand total of zerooo!

And finally we had our chance
A match at White Hart Lane to redeem us
But our stylish play and sexy football
Gave us a 4-4 draw to serve us!

Avram Grant will win the cups
    Avram is our herooo!!!
But this toad won't win us any trophies
    Cause this b*stard ain't Mourinho!!!!!!!!!

That is the sad truth of it.

Grant and Ten Cate don't seem to know what they are doing. They do not appear to have a plan.

Wrong type of fear, it was more if Chelsea scored first the game was finished, now if you score first there is no fear, just makes it more interesting.

If grant is the manager of Chelsea in the morning when I wake up, I'm gonna be pissed.

I think I'm in for a bad morning

You do realise that you acting all mad gives me extra satisfaction, but not in a bad way like trolling because i'm only talking about something i believe and want to talk about, knowing you're mad is just an extra bonus, just thought i'd tell you, although that does sound a little like trolling, i can see why people enjoy it, especially to somebody i don't like, like you, hope that makes sense.

Lippi will join soon anyway so relax.:)

Its funny how parasites tend to hang around when times are even a little rough, past differences aside, the ignore list, which I only recently began using, is quite the stress reliever.

She's hated by a lot of people on various forums. Her and some other Man Utd member got into an argument on a Real Madrid board of all places. Even some of the Utd members can't stand her.

Yes, but she's loved in the "World Rivalries" board. Her lack of any sense has always been a target for fun at the expence of her posts! :D

Back on topic, anyone have any new candidates?

Too bad Ottmar Hitzfeld is going to the Swiss NT after he finishes this season with Bayern. Would have like to see at Chelsea, or return to Dortmund for that matter, but Chelsea would have been more on par with him, now that BvB is but a mid-table team and no longer the power house of the 90's.

He has two CL titles with two teams, Bayern and Dortmund - and several league and cup titles with them as well.

Lippi...hmmm, still not to sure about him.

Hitzfeld gives an awfully tired impression.

Bayern know of his quality as a coach, but he's really exhausted, and the way things are in London, he would need a mental health assistant to keep up with the life as a Chelsea manager. The national team switch makes sense considering that factor.

During that (Tottenham) game, you felt that Grant has to be Martin Jol's distant cousin or something.I remembered the game (FA/Carling Cup?) where Jol had the lead on Chelsea and brought in a defender, managing to blow a safe lead.

Does any Chelsea fan know What's ten cate's responsibility level? What is his job, basically?

My theory is that Grant doesn't actually do anything. Ten Cate actually manager the squad while Grant acts as an intermideary between Roman and the players. Just a theory, mind you.

He does a lot more than that...none of it prodcutive or positive as far as being beneficial to the desired result, but I am sure he is invlolved with managerial and tactics as well, which is a shame.
