This is a thread dedicated to the sacking of our manager, Avram Grant, who is quite simply, the worst manager in the world. Fire away!

I'm not entirely neutral because I do have soft spot for Chelsea (long story) however I thought it a very strange decision when Grant was appointed as he has no pedigree at the top level.

Chelsea won't win anything until a top manager is appointed.

    Dear Roman,

Hi. I am a proven world class manager. I have won two Champions Leagues, have managed some big names and even managed Makelele (And Anelka) at one point and I know his importance. I know how to get the dressing room to meld and oddly enough I too was sacked even though I was winning silverware by my former club. I am calm and do not lose it in front of the media, players respect me, and did I mention that I've won TWO CHAMPIONS LEAGUE TROPHIES?

    Signed, Vincente Del Bosque.

    In addition:

Dear Roman, I am a proven manager also. I have managed at big clubs and have always done well with them. I also managed a World Cup winning side and I too know how to get players to play. I am admired/feared by Sir Alex because I always saw him at my games taking notes and noticed his team playing a style similar to mine. I may not speak English much but if you let me bring in my staff and let Clarke stay and have Cudicini (and Zola) translate I can assure you that we will be a good side.

    Signed, Marcello Lippi.

Grant is a fair coach, but he is out of his league

We have great players yet can't play them in position. Grant, got a lot of credit for all of the games we won this year, but seriously a lot of us could pick 11 and win games.

Grant does not give us that extra edge we need to win the big games.

Roman should have just swallowed his pride and let Jose keep his place.

    REMOVE GRANT!

Well then just ask clan to delete it. Emotions are bound to run high after such a game where the blame mostly was on the manager.

Cant say i have ever warmed up to Grant though. So i support the thread :D

We are Chelsea. We have more pride than this. We support our club through thick and thin. Whether the manager is shit or not. We lived through Glenn Hoddle, we'll get through Avram Grant.

Aww come on after that last game can you say that?
I would almost rather have McClaren or Rafa as our manager. (Just kidding)

Don't post in my thread if you disagree with it, and before a mod deletes or closes my thread, could they at least PM me with why.

buddy, emotions can run high, but this thread is useless at best.

Also, i don't think posters can claim some ownership of threads here, so not sure what you are talking about here. I'm not calling for a mod to close this thread, it's just sad when I see the same awful crap from other boards happen here.

Maybe it should be renamed the Avram Grant Discussion Thread then? Would that be more acceptable?

Re: The Official "Fire Avram Grant" Thread

Who says we arent supporting the club ? Its the fact that we love our club so much that wants us to have a manager who is atleast qualified (literally). I know i dont hold a candle to your chelsea following as i am relatively new and have no qualms accepting that. I have just seen the ranieri days. But i dont think that makes me any lesser of a fan.

And its not that i am after grant's back only after this match. He never was a manager in my opinion and the guy he replaced was already a legend.

Just a question. You never wanted Hoddle removed?

Edit : I guess this thread should be removed. In retrospect, i agree with yasik that this seems a bit over dramatic. Damm the vodka and the loss are getting to me:(

    GRANT POSTMATCH:

Grant pained by Chelsea cup loss

Grant was disappointed at some of the decisions in the final
Chelsea boss Avram Grant has told his players to get over their Carling Cup final loss and re-focus on the Premier League, Champions League and FA Cup.
"It was very painful," said Grant after the 2-1 defeat by Tottenham at Wembley. "It is not a good feeling.

"The players are disappointed because we have come a long way to get to the final and we are proud to get here.

"But we still have the Premier League, Champions League and FA Cup so we must now focus on them."

Grant questioned the award of a penalty to Spurs when Wayne Bridge was penalised for handball and Dimitar Berbatov slotted in the spot-kick to level.

Tottenham's winner came when Jonathan Woodgate was allowed to head in unmarked, although he was helped by keeper Petr Cech coming out of his goal and punching the ball against him and into the net.

"We led 1-0 and then until the second half there were no chances for either side. We had dominated more in the game and then came the decision about the penalty," said Grant.

"He touched the ball with his hand but I do not think it was deliberate. I don't think it was the referee's decision as he played on but it was the assistant.

"The penalty put them back in the game and that turned the match. The second goal was from a set-piece so we are disappointed."

He added: "It was always going to be close because cup finals are like this and it was not a great performance from both teams.

"We tried to score a goal and keep it tight but we lost."

Referee Mark Halsey blew for full-time in the midst of a Chelsea attack with Salomon Kalou going on to hit the post after Tottenham players had stopped playing.

"I have never seen such a thing in my life and I have never before seen the referee finish a match when this situation is happening," said Grant.

"Also in extra-time it was not a proper football match with all the stoppages."

You know that a manager is in trouble when people start discussion threads on them!

I feel Grant has had a long time to bed in, and it is inarguable that he is at best tactically naive and at worst a liability, possibly deranged.
