They are not really a low profile squad anymore but I agree.. they deserve to win the PL this year .. after finishing 2nd and then winning the CL in last two years.
Joao Felix is a massive flop,i remember in the summer people calling him "the next big thing" and were hoping that Real will pay 120 mill for him ...... except some good ball control the guy looks like nothing special
Just like calling Jovic or Vinicius a flop, it’s too soon to call Felix a flop. The guy is 19 man. The way Atleti plays doesn’t help either. I don’t understand how some of you guys are judging so fast on these young players. After 6 months you call them a flop, give them some time.
the Problem is that he cost 120 mill....he is like the 3rd or 4rd most expensive player EVER.The expectations for him are different and he is faiiling hard. Atletico style of play is not an excuse.....Griezman,Carassco,Villa,Falcao,Diego Costa,Turan all thrived in Atletico system and they are all attacking players
Cerezo, the guy who committed 120 mil. to buy him said he'd be amongst thebest players on the planet until the end of the year. He's under huge pressure, and other Atleti wonderkids didn't fare all that well, despite being hyped to high heavens.
Yes I’m aware of his price tag and of course he is not playing well atm. But imo we can judge him after 2 seasons. I’m not saying he will prove everyone wrong, but players so young need time to adapt. And a lot of players you mention were a lot older when they played for them. My point is his age.
Yeah but Cerezo is a fool. I’m not even a big fan of Felix and always thought he is a little bit hyped, but he is still very young. Too soon to call him a flop. Nowadays players are a flop after 3 matches but also the best after 3 games.
What i personally feel is glaring is that Vinicius is under the microscope from the first minute, and gets made fun of, while this kid is one of the most expensive players in history and has had a very poor season. Not because of the output, but also because he has marginal impact on Atleti's game. Morata is right now the best attacking Atleti player by a huge distance and that's a worry.
Yeah that’s true, Vini’s case is not fair either. But it’s just the clubs I think. People just don’t like us and they want to see our players fail.
What i find pretty funny is that Guardiola went at Madrid and Vini for how much he cost, but he was absolutely ready to pay 120 to bring Felix to ManCity in the summer. Great standards.
Mallorca 3-0 Valencia and just 45 min played. Atleti lost 2-0. Is it because of the trip to SA? I don’t know but it makes our 2-1 win against Sevilla quite impressive.
I remember we lost our unbeaten (22 wins in a row iirc) streak when Carlo was here after our trip to Dubai or Qatar, i can't remember where it was exactly, but it was a game in January and we had a pretty rough week after coming back. These trips take a toll on the players. edit: We played Milan in Dubai at the end of 2014, lost a few days later vs Valencia.
Theo lol what a goal. What is this guy doing, i think he is top scorer of milan now no? Having a great season, he is just so hard to stop once he starts running.
Inter hopes of winning the title are dying It is going to be something like 10 in a row for Juventus LOL Seria A
