I don't think players want to leave ManCity regardless of club wanting to sell or not. Unless they are not getting playing time. Similar to Madrid.
Well, if you see some of the pubs/lounges located behind the 18th hole at a typical country club, its not difficult to see why it appeals to people. And compared to running on a treadmill or doing a 10K walk along the streets in your neighbourhood, golf is pretty riveting! So its a way to keep exercise interesting combined with a good excuse to hang-out with your buddies the whole afternoon. That's probably what draws people into golf, more than maybe the love for the sport. Also, if your a professional sports athlete its not like you are really looking to get a "rush" in your down-time. More likely you are looking for something super relaxing and semi-private on your off days.
🎙️Jorge Valdano: "No me hubiese gustado que Neymar fichase por el Madrid, vive la profesión de forma algo confundida; no sé si sería una buena influencia para jóvenes brasileños del Real Madrid que seguro le idolatran" pic.twitter.com/fWt4uGH0ZY— Radioestadio Noche (@RadioestadioN) September 9, 2019 Valdano doesn't think Neymar would have been a good influence on our young players who idolize him.
I like the player but would he be able to replicate that here? I mean he plays in a well defined system and the things others do are just as important what he's attempting to do. I'm not sure how that looks in our free for all.
These are the types of things that concerned me, combined with the costs and injuries it was taking on too much risk. There was a time it would've all been worth it.
KDB is a great player. Even without Pep's system, he had that crazy season in Bundesliga with 21 assists and 10 goals in 2014-15. But like Aguero, I see him spending his rest of his prime at City. Has a contract until 2023 and will turn 29 next summer. It's not just that City never sell their best players, but also the fact that player is well settled under Pep. Clubs make a move if only the player is interested and to come up with a financial package that would get him out of City at 29 is unrealistic. Not to mention he missed 150 days through various injuries last season.
I don't see an AM succeeding here until Benzema is gone and o don't see us spending big on someone that close to 30 either
KDB is a CM but like all the other City CMs, their system is such they pretty sit atop the opponent’s box.
Precisely. He did 21 assists at freaking Wolfsburg. His range of passing is ridiculous. His awareness is immense. He's literally a MvP playmaker makes everyone look amazing.
Because he plays in freaking Man City. I feel we should have at least tried this summer. We have players Guardiola likes. To me he is exactly what we need. Directness , insane vision , workrate , a very good shot and on top of that all he is the best crosser in the world.
No i meant why would he leave? Good team, pay him well, and perfect system for him. He'd be almost silly to leave
Feels like KDB has been injured an awful lot recently, or am I imagining things?, not enough of a help to us if he can’t get on and stay on the pitch often enough
The injuries are not that frequent (had 2 fully healthy seasons before the big injury last season). The worrisome part is that his last 2 injuries were of the same body part (right knee). But yeah... no idea why he would want to leave Man City. He has had some good times there the past 3 years, and I have a feeling the next 2-3 years will be even better.
Guardiola isn't staying in Man City for long. When he leaves, some player might want a change as well. Anyways, it’s purely speculative and meaningless now. Let’s see how we do with more minutes of James on the pitch. I think James can add that needed extra dimension, even though KDB does it with more consistency, James is here and we should properly utilize him.
» (FM) #PSGhttps://t.co/G2Db9RjTde— Vince (@VinceMalouh) September 10, 2019 Neymar Sr: "When his friends (at Barça) asked him if he would come back, it touched him. There was no clause that made things difficult. We fought for an agreement. We tried our best.
We have someone in the same mold of KdB in James. I think they are very comparable talent wise too, just that KdB plays for Guardiola and everyone looks 10x better playing for Guardiola.
