The Arsenal v Hull City Tigers AFC Premier League Saturday, 11 February 2017 Emirates Stadium, London N5 KO: 1230 GMT/0730 EST US TV: NBCSN Once more into the breach, dear friends. Let's save the season.
Thanks for stepping up Darth. And early too! But "save the season" now seems to be generally considered a lost cause, at least in the EPL. Unless you're talking about just saving pride or St.Tott's Day. Which would be fair. In fact, many would say that we should instead "fix the club", i.e. remove the boss. And I just made a post in the Wenger thread about how those folks might be hoping to finish outside the Top4 in order to trigger that re-invention. For me however, I know I'll never be able to root against us winning a match in the league. So, let's chase these kittens up a tree!
I'll be flying out tomorrow to attend my first Arsenal match ever. Been dreaming of this day since I was a kid. Feels surreal and I won't let our current form ruin the excitement. Although we're playing for pride and not the title I will probably shed a tear as I remember how I fell in love with this club. Win, lose or draw I'm Arsenal till I die. I just hope we smash them but they're in great form it seems....fvck it tho. COYG!
I'm flying over to London on Wednesday for this match. This will be my first match at the Emirates. I lived in London in the 1990s and went to a bunch of games at Highbury. I was hoping that we would be in the middle of a title challenge for this game. Oh well. Win, lose, or draw I'm really looking forward to watching a game live at the stadium. Have fun!
I will be looking forward to this match See if we bounce back and interested in checking out hull city's new winger Grosicki signed in January from ligue 1
With any luck for you two (and all of us) we'll be like a wounded coyote and have a big bounceback win! But brace yourselves for disjointed fan atmosphere at the stadium. Protests may be evident. And if we lose or draw, there will definitely be some seriously negative fan reax. In any case, you two should try to get together while you're there, maybe for a drink before/after the match. And, if it's not too late, try to book a stadium tour. At definitely check out the museum!
Gents, I sincerely hope the atmosphere is fantasic and the experience is a memorable one! Would love to hear about it when you both return. Would be interesting to get an "insider perspective" on the state of Arsenal from 2 of our very own at the same game.
Hey while you're in North London at The Emirates, share this with some of our fellow Gooners and show 'em that we love 'em stateside:
Thanks! I'm really looking forward to this. I did the stadium tour a few years ago and also went to the museum. Had a great time. One of the employees at the stadium tour was actually a Tottenham fan. It was fun to talk with him for a little while. If this goes smoothly, I may start going to 2-3 matches each year.
I think our XI for this will be -----------Walcott Walcott--Walcott--Walcott--Walcott ---Walcott----Walcott---- -------Walcott------ Walcott--------Walcott --------Alexis----
Is there a more appropriate word (etymologically or otherwise) that describes being an Arsenal fan for the last 10 years?
